We had breakfast at Urban Egg and WOW — what a treat. We split the Billion Dollar Bacon Bourbon… OMG absolutely unreal.
I had the Stuffed French Toast — rich, perfectly cooked, and straight-up YUMMY. My wife ordered the Rocky Mountain Corned Beef Hash, and you can tell immediately this is the real deal — definitely not from a can. So good.
I believe our server was Carissa, and she was fantastic: great attitude, very attentive, and made the experience even better.
Johnstown folks, you are spoiled to have a place like this in town. We’ll absolutely be back!

So I ordered a $50 To-go order from Urban Egg, I guess the problems first started when they gave me a market salad instead of a fresh bowl of fruit that I ordered. Instead of refunding they wanted to fight with me and tell me that the order was rang up with a market salad.
Okay cool. I let it go.
Started digging into the burgers that I had ordered and the insides are completely Raw.

Extremely disappointed in this place all I’ve heard is good things but unfortunately this crew on 2/18/26 was absolutely awful and I definitely will not be coming back.

We visited Urban Egg on a Sunday and waited about 25 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was extremely busy and quite loud, which made the wait feel longer.
I ordered a chai drink that was absolutely delicious, while my husband had orange juice, which he said was good. For my meal, I asked for avocado toast, but the waitress seemed confused unless I used the full name—“Tate’s Avocado Toast.” When it arrived, it came with very well-done bacon that was tough and difficult to chew.
The accompanying salad was enormous and filled with tomatoes, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Since I’m allergic to tomatoes, I had to pick many of them out and ended up eating very little of the salad. I had requested the gluten-free option, but the bread was dense and sticky—not very enjoyable. The avocado portion was actually guacamole, which technically fits the description but isn’t what most people expect when ordering avocado toast.
My husband ordered the chorizo burrito and felt it was mostly tortilla with little flavor. The side of hash browns was bland, even after adding a generous amount of salt.
Overall, we were disappointed with the food. I ate about a quarter of my meal, and my husband finished roughly half of his. We left shortly after. With so many breakfast options available, Urban Egg needs to step up its game—as we won’t be returning.

Love all the breakfast choices! The urchata is my fave go to hot drink and the blueberry pearl waffles are soooo unbelievably good!! I highly recommend. Seating can feel crowded and very loud but otherwise worth it!

Came here for a brunch on a weekday and the place was still pretty full! That definitely says something about the quality and the food matched it. Pancakes are huge and tasty. The drinks were great and the food/service was on point.

Wonderful place for breakfast! Staff was friendly and helpful. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns! Very delicious! Only complaint is that they were a little stingy with the gravy. My husband had a bacon and cheese omelet with bacon, hash browns, and toast. We both enjoyed our meals and would eat here again if in the area!

This was my first time coming here and it was very good. I felt like the food was good, but there wasn’t a ton of flavor. I got the breakfast burrito, which was tasty, but the chorizo tasted more like ground beef. Either way, the waitress was great, service was good, the food came out quickly and I left full. I will 100% be back. I think I will get something different though.
