The dining experience at Urban Decanter was top tier with some pretty delectable ingredient combinations. I would highly recommend the burrata with pears and hot honey or the spinach and roasted beet salad with candied hazelnuts and Gorgonzola. They also have an entire wall of the restaurant dedicated to their wine collection – all of which are available for service or to take home if you want to purchase a bottle. Some of my favorite small-time local winemakers were included in their collection, so definitely ask which bottles they have available and don’t just rely on the menu. The tab ended up seeming like a good deal for dining experience that we received: $109 for two people – we split a starter, salad, entree, dessert, and both had a glass of wine. Overall, I would definitely come back to Urban Decanter again. In my opinion, this is (by far) the best dining experience in the Forest Grove area.

Funk Wise
Went there with a large family group on 12/23/2025. This is a Tuesday. First the negative. You’ll need to wear your coat while you eat. It’s a large room and freezing cold – especially by the door. I hate that! I asked the server if the thermostat might be turned up. She said, “we get really hot by the wood fired pizza oven.” What? It’s NOT ABOUT YOU. It’s about the customer. Might be better in the summer, but then they probably crank the AC way up.
There is ONE single occupancy bathroom for a huge place. Had to wait for it twice.
There was ONE server for the entire room. Not that she didn’t hustle, but it was too much. Of course, it was a week night in December.
Not a large beer selection. This is a WINE focused restaurant.
Now the positive. Nothing wrong with the food. Pretty good stuff. Pretty quick on the preparation and delivery, too.
Our server was really working hard and was attentive enough.
Overall, probably won’t make it a point to go back. In Forest Grove it’s too remote to get enough traffic to staff it up adequately.

Great date spot. Location, ambiance, and service. Feels upscale without feeling stuffy. Romantic!! Would love to come back. My date and i just stopped in for some wine, which was fantastic. Menu looked amazing.

Cozy place with fantastic food and drinks. The service is great, and all of the staff are very friendly. The private events/parties are great and the owner is very personable. This is my #1 go to for a weekend dinner out. Love the variety of the weekend specials.

My partner & I were looking for somewhere for dinner & just by chance stumbled upon this restaurant. To start we had the beet salad & the crab cake ,Wholly Smokes , I was thinking if this is what the apps taste like I can’t wait for the main dish. I got the pork & he got the ravioli , we were blown away at the depth of flavors, every bite was better than the first. I went back to compliment the chef but didn’t see anyone so I asked our server & pointed to this young lady sitting at the counter. This woman was so humble at my compliments , I told her my back ground of being in the food industry for 40 yrs winning on food network & TLC , owning 3 restaurants. Then she was listening to my compliments with accomplishment. We will be back down In a month & can’t wait to go back.

We have been coming here for many years; some of which we lived in OR (now we live in WA.) We love coming here whenever we’re in Forest Grove to visit family. The food is always amazing (the beef short ribs! Mmm) and the wine list is always top tier since they have several wine industry folks on staff. As long as they’re here we will continue to come!

Wowwwwww! Okay, my foodie peeps! You must try Urban Decanter! The restaurant has a beautiful warm cozy atmosphere. The quality of their food was AMAZING!! We went for dinner there for our first vist. We started with a appetizer of Artichoke dip with a fresh baguette roll. I’d have to say that’s the best artichoke dip I’ve ever had! My husband had the Woodfired Bone-In Pork Chop with red potatoes, seasonal vegetables and seasonal whiskey apple barbecue sauce and I had the Woodfired Halibut dinner with mash potatoes, asparagus and seasonal vegetables. My husband said that was the best pork chop he ever had. I have to agree that Pork chop was tender and moist. The Halibut was amazing. Both dinner entrees were cooked to PERFECTION! Last but not least we had dessert Cranberry & Orange bread pudding to-go. Amazing!! We will be back for sure! Our waitress was amazing. She was very attentive and gave great customer service till the end. Compliments to the Chef and staff for a great experience! Thank you guys :))

Best restaurant in Forrest Grove. A great place to meet for a first date, or to take your relatives out for an amazing meal. The have a giant wine wall at decent price points. I would recommend!
