This is a hidden Gem! We happened to be walking by and hopped in. Leah met us at the door with warmth and such amazing hospitality. True to Nashville’s word… A home cooked meal that Leah personalized for us to our liking.
Do not leave Nashville until you come to the Urban Cookhouse!

Great food! Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Beware of the bathrooms! Strong odors and the shelves with cleaning supplies were on the floor immediately adjacent to a urinal. Poor sanitation practices—surprised it wasn’t noted on a sanitation inspection.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich with a cup of tortilla soup. Totally hit the spot. Everything tastes homemade, freshly assembled in the kitchen. Service was friendly and quick, the ambience was pleasant and quiet. Great menu choices, there were several things I’d like to try. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town to try something else.

Rainy day lunch, sunshiny experience! Excellent southern hospitality and service. Delicious food with plenty of accommodations for picky eaters.

Stopped by for a late Sunday lunch. I was a little worried as there was only 1 other party there, but it was an odd time. Walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted. She explained their menu and made some recommendations. I liked the salad and sandwich options as they had the same ingredients, just in another form.
Ordered the Local Mix salad and the Berry Good wrap. Salad came out after about 5 minutes, but the wrap took about 20 minutes. It wasn’t crowded, so I think they forgot, but it was an honest mistake as overall service was great. To make up for the wait, the server brought out a little brownie which was a good gesture for the wait. Both the wrap and salad were really good. They were put together well and full of fresh & local ingredients. Great way to support the local farmers.
Good place to come for fresh food that supports the local community.

I found this place while waiting for the trolley tour and decided to have lunch before the tour. It was so good! I returned two more times in my four-day stay in Nashville. Each time, I had a great meal, got some orange rolls to go (you must try them!) and had good conversation with the friendly proprietors. This will be my must-visit whenever I am in Nashville. What a gem! If you’re riding the trolley, get off at Stop 3 and get something to eat. If you’re anywhere else in the area, make the trip for a great lunch!

100% Delicious! Been here a few times now and never fails to be amazing. Good menu with super fresh ingredients, the staff is always friendly and great serving size for the price. You can’t go wrong with the Berry Salad or the Turkey Crunch Sandwich. They even have a Grilled Peanut Butter Fluff Sandwich (Fluffernutter).

Lunch on Wednesday, 4/24/2024 arrived@12:15 pm was less than mediocre. I had the Lime Marinated Steak and my husband had the Chipotle Braised Pork with Mac and cheese and broccoli salad. Both Entrées were served barely warm. My steak was way overcooked and had absolutely no flavor. The rice was coldish and was also overcooked with no flavor. My husband fared slightly better. His pork was at least not dry, but was cold (?!) Mac n Cheese was ok but also cold. Both my salad and his broccoli salad were the best thing we ate. It took 20 minutes to deliver this food. People were nice, but not much interaction. We will not be back. Too many other choices in Nashville for such a terrible effort on their part.

This is a very very good restaurant. We were looking for a lighter lunch in Nashville, and this is the perfect spot. I got the flank steak sandwich and it was delicious. My girlfriend got the white BBQ sandwich and that was amazing as well. Both sides were great! We will be back next time we visit. FYI: you also get two hours of free parking, which is a huge plus since you’re next to Broadway.

Me and my friend hit this place up on one of our radom lunch excursions in Nashville. The look and feel sorta reminded me of the Food Factory but that’s when the comparison ends. The food looked great but it lacked flavor. The only thing I really enjoyed was the mac and cheese side that I chose with my sandwich. I basically got their flank steak sandwich. The streak was nice and thick but it wasn’t seasoned and the alioli that was on the sandwich suffered from the same fate. The Buffalo chicken wraps were also OK. I don’t believe that me and my friend will be back here to try anything else.
