I sauntered into this little corner coffee shop today and loved the cozy, living-room vibes I walked into! Lots of rustic and homey elements that make me wish I had brought my laptop in so I could work from here all day. I got a vanilla latte and it was delicious and not too sweet. I also got a ham, egg, and cheese croissant. The croissant was fresh and buttery! Simple flavors, which is exactly how I like my breakfast. The staff was very friendly and were chatting with many of the people who seemed to be frequent returners. That’s always a good sign! I’d recommend visiting this coffee shop, if you’re ever in the King Street area.

Good spot for a coffee, they had a lot of low fat yogurt muffins which I really liked! Also the breakfast sandwich was good and the ice coffee was giant.

Small place with fast service & friendly owners. Offering sandwiches, bagels, coffee & teas. If you are staying in Hyatt across street – worth visiting for a breakfast. Recommend The Uptowner sandwich & any hot sandwiches. May skip teas and settled for mineral water or coffee.
Sandwich+ juice will be about $ 13 with tip.
The place has some seating outside along King street but it will be sun-light by noon.

Whenever we’re in town we stop here because it’s usually very good. Got an assortment of muffins today to take a breakfast with family and the pumpkin muffins tasted like they were at least 3 days old. So dry I think my cup holder would have been better. Was just going to let it go but for the price I thought I should call. Got a “I’m sorry” but nothing else. Not a very sorry what can I do for you or we’d be happy to give you a refund. Absolutely nothing other than a too bad, so sad attitude. Definitely scratch this place off our Alexandria list

Adorable Cafe with rustic seating that makes a cozy environment. Super pleasant first thing in the morning. The white chocolate mocha is smooth and awesome! Fresh bagels available and to die for low fat muffins! A definite try for a breakfast or lunch date, or just quietly reading a book for one!

We were looking for a new lunch spot to check out on a rainy afternoon and Uptowner Cafe did not disappoint! It’s a small space with a homey feel and very quick service. Everything was ready in just a few minutes. We loved our sandwiches – no frills and just downright good. My latte was also delicious. Pricing is decent for the area. We will be back!

Friendliest staff ever! Went twice while visiting DC and they had already learned our faces. Cozy little shop with great ambiance and decorations. Excellent sandwiches and coffee, and a great way to start a long day of walking and sightseeing.

Walk by here all the time so figured I’d give a mom and pop shop a try. The sandwich was the size of one you’d make at home. About the same quality. Nothing exceptional about it except the $11 price tag. Didn’t come with a side nor a drink. Now I know, and I won’t be back.

First time here, bakery products are very soft and fluffy, there are so many options for lunch and breakfast.
The coffee is good, the muffins are delicious, the place is very abstract. Tables outside, very kind cashier, good customer service and fast attention.
