Enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price. Nice bar on one side and enjoyable restaurant separate from the bar for added enjoyment.

We are ‘doing’ Route 66 and came to Carlinville. It’s a lovely little town and we went to Uptown Tavern for a drink. We were made to feel very welcome by the coupler that run it. The bar is very authentic – just like our old pubs in the UK – and very charming.
If you are in the area, call in. You won’t regret it!

Traveling through for a quick stop of drinks and food. Unfortunately they aren’t open at 10am but 11am. The food selection is a great mix of fresh food. Delicious food and reasonably priced for cocktails as well. Amazing service and safe environment. Thank you.

Love Uptown Tavern. Joey has a fantastic menu with unique items (Chang wraps are back!), hands down the best wings anywhere (ALWAYS crispy on the outside, tender on the inside), a bangin’ soundtrack always playing, and a relaxing atmosphere.

One of my favorite restaurants around! The pony shoes are great and the fries and cheese curds are fantastic. Workers are nice, helpful, and friendly. Amelia’s noodle nuggets ( macaroni and cheese bights!) are a very good choice for kids! Definitely a good choice for lunch or dinner!

Great food. I have been leaving tipping for the cooks and I found out the waitress has been stealing them. If you want to tip the cooks make sure you take it to them personally. Ain’t nothing worse than thieves.
