The fries are awesome! Went here for a talk with one of my sons, ordered your basic bar/tavern foodstuffs. Pleasantly surprised with portion sizes and my drink was made right. A lot of locals and the music was booming since it was getting on into the night. Def a bar, but during the day it feels more like an unpretentious sports grill. I felt pretty comfortable as a boring mom traveling from out of state. Very clean, decent bathroom, no nasty bar fly types. Pretty decent eats for sure and a great place to get your family some good takeout.

This used to be my favorite haunt. Since the new owner, food quality has suffered and service has disappeared. Tonight 6 only other people in the bar, along with the bartender and owner. Had to ask for the first drink and couldn’t get their attention for a second one. This pattern has repeated itself over the past couple months. I recommend going anywhere else.

Reading the other review makes me laugh all the BS one stars! It’s a small town bar don’t expect a city bar one person is usually working unless it’s the weekend! Bartenders aren’t here to flirt with people the chase guys an idiot for the review! Food’s fantastic and the people are great!

Terrible experience. Stopped in for some drinks and couldnt get served. Not busy at all. Waitress intentionally ignored us. Bar tender finally brought two drinks over after one of us waited at the bar. He never offered to bring anyone else a refill. Puzzled by the horrible service but wont waste time there again!

Our group of 15 agreed that the food was terrific, service was quick and friendly and as we stayed long past our meal, the staff was accommodating and welcoming. This is a hidden treasure in a small town. Glad we discovered it!

Every time I head through St. Clair, I make a point to stop in here. For such a small town, this tavern has a new, big town feel. The new owners are incorporating so much of the classic menu yet bringing a new excitement to the restaurant.
