Here completely by chance… The kitchen was spot-on, sliders were great. Service was flawless, the VIBES of the building are epic, you can tell that patrons have had good times here for at least 100 years. Prices were very affordable, all around great experience on a historic block with a view of Frank Lloyd Wright’s, Johnson Wax tower from the front window.

Had 1 drink and ordered food to go. One bartender was friendly. Another, all she could do is complain, with foul language about everything in her life and loud enough so we could all hear her. Not a place u want to stay and eat in, but th takeout was good!

I seen a post from Uptown on Facebook 11/21/2025 that said Kitchen is open till 1am. I went in and ordered a stuffed burger. I heard the cook angrily say we don’t make those! Why did Uptown make a post saying the kitchen is open if only making certain things. I’ll never be back!

The last time I went, it was bumping. But some of the people were so belligerent that I took the food that I was eating to go because I started to feel uncomfortable. I went for a beer and food after a long day at work. I had just gotten paid and wanted something new to try. The service was good. The people getting drunk need to act more like adults.

So, Literally sat at an empty bar for 24 mins before aknowledgment. Bartender was outside smoking on my way in. This was mid March at 5:30pm on a Monday.
My ESA was with me, maybe that was it, not sure. Was happy to see RJ open again and was inquiring about cooking. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there, maybe should have been. JS. I didn’t eat, I left before I could eat.

I could have cried when this place closed I’m so happy they’re back!!!! My favorite chicken wings in the city. Always kind workers and customers. 10/10 not sure why the reviews are not representing this! Support local!
