We enjoyed stopping in to get a healthy lunch on our road trip. My falafel salad was refreshing and tasty. I wouldn’t order the grilled cheese again for my daughter. Definitely felt like cleanliness could be better some gnats were flying around. Our waitress was great and very friendly!

This is a nice, cozy place that is impeccably clean. We were well served by an adorable and charming young lady. Herbed dinner rolls with whipped butter were very good. Wedding soup was best ever. Visual presentation of food was well executed.

Mediocre food with insane prices for a cafe. I got the pretzels with pimento cheese. The pimento cheese was literally cold shredded cheddar cheese with some peppers and not traditional pimento cheese dip at all, not creamy and not a dip AT ALL. The sandwiches are just subpar, go to Sheetz and get the same thing for half the price.

I was traveling for work and somebody recommended the ‘uptown dish’ for lunch – I am so happy I stopped by! Food was great and staff was awesome! I felt they knew all of their costumers by name!
P.s a big THANK YOU to the lady (I think she might have been the owner) that told me all about the homemade strawberry frosting! I will try to copy this perfection at home!

Stopped at Uptown for lunch on a road trip. Open for about 9 months, enjoyed a cheesesteak sandwich, smash burger and turkey wrap. All good served by friendly people in a clean, quaint spot.

Love this place so much!! My only reason for giving a 4 star rating is because of their hours. My wife and I would go more often, but they’re only open 8:30am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday. We both work during the week, and that lands during our work hours. If they would open earlier and even sometime on the weekends, we would be regulars for sure! The food and service is amazing! The staff is wonderful! A much needed addition to Uptown Beckley! For now, my wife and I will just have to enjoy on holidays or days we get off. Cannot wait to visit again!

Traveling through WV, Beckley is our halfway point. Made a slight detour & and stopped here for the homemade bagels. Did not disappoint. I also got an iced coffee with caramel & oatmilk. Cold brew is deliciously smooth…took one for the road too!
