Today i went to eat here and really enjoyed my experience. I spoke to the owner and he was so passionate about the community. The art on the walls is from a local artist and it creates a really fun vibe. He also serves several local beers including Gypsy Cider and Xul, a brewery in Knoxville. I got the Works cheesesteak and poutine. My wife got the meatball sub. Everything came out quickly and was very fresh. The servings were large and it was all so good. I feel like i really got my money’s worth. I was excited to have an opportunity to get to try poutine in the tricities. There were several 4top tables and bar seating. Everyone that worked there were so kind. If you are in kingsport I encourage you to try this place out.

This place is always conservatively good. The hot honey chicken philly is my absolute favorite from there but the OG cheesesteak is also amazing. It’s a little messy, but I seriously wouldn’t change a thing! We have never had anything we didn’t like. The ranch is also fantastic with the cheese fries (side note: one order is enough for us to share). I highly recommend this little place.

Greeted right away. Clean restaurant. There are 7 tables that seat 4 each plus 7 chairs at the bar. They have a decent variety of foods: smash burgers, cheesesteaks, ham and cheese sub, Italian sub, veggie sub, cheese sticks, fries with different toppings and more. There are two televisions both with closed captioning which is so nice. You’d be surprised how many places don’t put the CC on their tv’s. Alternative and rock music was playing. Personally, I think the music volume should be a little lower during the daytime only because some older customers came inside and didn’t like the music. You can’t please everyone. But maybe just a little lower during daytime hours. They serve coke products (free refills) and have a decent variety of bottled and draft beer. Condiments and napkins are on the table which is nice because you don’t have to wait on service. We aye there at 1 pm so any lunch work crowd was gone. We had no problem getting service or the food.
The food was served hot and it was good! The bacon chicken eggrolls are really big and filling. The fries with seasoning are quite tasty. Loved them. The Philly cheesesteak (the OG) was worth the trip. Big sandwich on super fresh bread. The cheesticks were just okay to me. Tasted a little frozen. Maybe no, but that’s how they tasted to me. They were still good though. We will be back.

My family and I visited for the first time today! My wife and I ordered The Works, which is a cheesesteak with grilled onions, roasted green peppers, and the option of provolone or cheese whiz. We chose the whiz. We paired the sandwiches with the Cajun fries. Our son had the kids’ chicken tenders.
We didn’t wait long for the food to arrive. Everything was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back! The staff was friendly!

5 out 5 for sure. We got the smash burger and a cheese steak, both were phenomenal! The salad was really fresh and theor ranch dressing was probably the best I have ever tried ! Reasonably priced and all the staff were super nice and professional! Loved the atmosphere!

First time visiting this place and I’m very happy to spend about $75 for 3 people; 3 cheesesteaks, 3 fries and 3 drinks. We were satisfied and content to have something not really offered in the area. Cheesesteaks are a hard thing to master and Uptown does a very nice job at delivering fast, pretty and tasty food for my family.
My one and only complaint is that when I ordered The Worx loaded down cheesesteak with everything I expected an overwhelming amount of flavor, but I was left with wanting more caramelized onions and peppers and more of a pop in flavor. The mushrooms were nice and the bun was great, but the meat was the star. I enjoyed every bite. (To the owners/chefs just spice them up a smidge more and cook them a bit more)
