The food here is so good. I ordered the oxtail meal and it comes with this delicious potato salad the oxtail and the gravy and the rice is so nice and good. The customer service there is absolutely wonderful. I mean they are Jamaican so it may sound like they have a attitude, but they don’t that’s just how they talk but I absolutely love it. This is my first time coming to this place and honestly I will come back. It’s honestly affordable and one plate can honestly feed 2 to 3 people.

From the fatty goat to the deep none dry flavor
It was fatty, flavorful, thick, the macaroni salad complimented the rice and goat to the tune of unimaginable flavorality.
I’m from New York and I always had amazing Jamaican food up there by gunhill road but when I tell you this spot transported me to a off the road family establishment in montegobay
Imagine you had to drive tree miles of d road to find a little old lady that been cooking for 45 years , this little spot in Kendall teleported me back there
Imagine the food being so good you feel disrespected , like somebody violated you that’s how good it was.
It was so good I left that establishment with a vengeance to leave a review. That was the only thing on my mind to pay something back somehow.
That food was so good I had to make several paragraphs to compensate for the lack of balance.
The staff is so relaxed Jamaican style , slower pace people you might confuse that with lack of service but Jamaican people from the island are slow and chill for the better, that’s their beauty.

The environment is clean and organized well . The woman who served me was polite and efficient with serving my plate. I ordered a small jerk chicken plate with oxtail gravy on the rice. The food is delicious and has a true Jamaican flavor the jerk has just enough spice to let the smoky flavor and other seasonings shine through , I usually don’t eat macaroni salad but this one was so creamy and refreshing.The rice was fluffy and fresh definitely a great spot for lunch or dinner will definitely be ordering again

I wish I could review this place twice but I can’t so I’ll just update it because this place deserves all the big ups . I usually treat myself to some oxtail when I’m feeling homesick and Ive ordered it three times in the past from this place but I usually nyam it down before I can get pictures but I gottem now . The oxtail is juicy fall off the bone and you can suck the marrow out of it . This the large plate and I put like a quarter dent into it before I was stuffed great food as always. Also the plate is super affordable especially for oxtails of this quality.

The juiciest and the most tender jerk chicken I’ve had. The goat curry was also delicious but had a bit of raw turmeric taste, still delicious. The portion sizes were large. The homemade beet-ginger was also surprisingly refreshing drink.

First time here, I wanted to try the oxtails and a patty.
Clean place with a small bar/lounge in the back. The person preparing the food has a typical Jamaican attitude – it’s not bad, it just is what it is, bluntly helpful? . If you’re from Miami and eat at Caribbean restaurants you get it. Up Top has a small basic menu. I wanted medium order of oxtails and veggies. They didn’t have mixed veggies, only salad or plantain. So they accommodated me with giving me plantain and oxtails because I didn’t want salad or rice. I added a beef patty and a drink. The Oxtails are good and tasty. My oxtails weren’t out on the hot plate buffet area, it was in the back so I can’t speak to the microwave situation others spoke of. Plantain is Plantain… now the beef patty was terrible! It was old and reheated not fresh. I wouldn’t order that again. I actually wouldn’t come here for patties at all after what I had. I can complain about the price for amount of oxtail ratio but I won’t. I knew I was getting myself into… if you’re in the mood for some Jamaican food – nothing too crazy stop by you may like it. I wanted to give 3 stars but I hate when I spend money on something that’s inedible- the patty was trash.
