When you go upstairs and walk into the restaurant you just know that this is going to be a good experience, it has that vibe.
The food is wonderful, but my pictures don’t do it justice, and the wine selection is certainly different and excellent. My pheasant was cooked to perfection.
The is a very good restaurant, but what makes it exceptional is Hetty. The knowledge and passion Hetty has is infectious and pitched just at the right level, she makes such a difference to the evening.
We will be back to see our bottle of wine downstairs!

We had a lovely meal here- pretty much everything we ate was good, the pumpkin fritters were especially good. The bread was delicious but would have been better if warm. Only disappointment was the wine which was expensive for a very average bottle. And make sure you double check the bill as we were charged twice for our desserts!! However overall would still highly recommend.

Beautiful place, and lovely service. Had high hopes for the food but it just missed the mark. The toast with girolles tasted nothing of girolles and all of the herbs. The ragu was riddled with sooo much rosemary – would have been yummy if it weren’t for that. The dessert of choc mousse and figs was good.
Also – small thing – they pride themselves on their bread and it was good but would have been excellent if served a little warm.

We had the most wonderful experience— truly one of the best meals we’ve had out in a long time. Every element was exceptional, the food was full of flavour, the atmosphere warm and intimate, and the service friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A really special dining experience from start to finish we can’t wait to go back.

Best dinner in Bath was at Upstairs at Landrace. Highly recommend the ragu, turbot and tart. Service was friendly (thanks to Hettie) and the sommelier knew his wines. Highly recommend you also check out the bakery downstairs during the day.

This was the best meal I’ve ever eaten and the service was brilliant our waitress Hettie was so attentive and personable! And the food was absolutely delicious every bite melted in your mouth and was full of flavour and creativity. The vibes were great minimalistic and funky tunes playing. Cannot recommend this place enough!

O-M-G This has got to be one of the absolute BEST places I’ve dined at in all of Britain. It’s the kind of place where you don’t need to complicate the dishes because the quality of the ingredients and preparation really shine through. Holy smokes this place was good! We ordered a lot and there wasn’t a single miss. Generous serving sizes, unique flavour pairings, fresh ingredients, and amazing wine. The staff were all completely delightful as well. (And such a fun toilet!)
