Upshot Coffee Brake Shop is a contemporary and inviting cafe; offering superb espresso, pour-over coffee, lattes, tea, pastries, and food. Many elements of the Brake Shop cafe have been repurposed from the old 50’s era gas station; including the old tire racks as our bar height counters, Curley’s old racing slicks, and the original brake shop lettering reinstalled on the front of our tile bar. The Brake Shop is bright and open, a great place to work or enjoy life in St. Charles. The cafe is home to a 2 Group Slayer Steam espresso machine, allowing our baristas to serve excellent espresso.

Upshot Coffee in St. Charles is an incredible spot that I highly recommend! The place has a unique charm, as it used to be an old auto brake shop, which gives it a cool,Industrial vibe. The staff is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always making you feel welcome. Special shoutout to Manager Garrett for his excellent service and warm hospitality. The drinks are top-notch, from rich coffees to delicious specialty beverages, and the food options are just as great—perfect for any time of day. If you’re looking for a cozy place with great energy and quality treats, Upshot Coffee is the place to be. I’ll definitely be returning!

Best coffee in st Charles! Love the single origin offerings, pour over, and seasonal drinks. The staff is very friendly as well! Tyler is my favorite barista there and always makes the best recommendations. They also have an amazing gluten free banana bread. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! This cozy coffee shop used to be an auto repair garage, but now it’s serving up perfectly balanced burritos and some seriously good coffee. I had the coffee of the day—a beautifully brewed filter coffee—and the person who helped me walked me through the origin and flavor profile like a total pro. It’s always a treat when the food and the vibe both hit just right. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped here because of the google reviews and so glad we did! I ordered a whipped honey latte and fiance got a drip coffee. We were both very impressed. For mine the balance of sweet and coffee was perfect! The atmosphere is great, super chill. There is even a little toy area for kiddos. Will definitely return!

What a cozy and cute coffee shop, I love the decoration, the ambiance and the service. The coffee is delicious, the service in the drinks is very personalized, they take into account every detail. It’s definitely an amazing space to work, hang out with friends or stop by for a delicious coffee.

I got a Matcha latte here and it was freaking amazing. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. This place was easy to find clean well designed and had a lot of interesting things to look at the service was fast and polite. I thought the menu had a lot of great options on it, they cater to vegans and people with allergies. I thought it was a pretty good value. The parking was easy. It wasn’t terribly crowded when we went. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. It has a great ambience for hanging out. Can’t wait to go back.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try something new! We tried the stuffed avocado toast, breakfast burrito, cinnamon roll and side of eggs. Everything was so flavorful! The coffee was even better! We had the fudge mint esspresso hot and cold, I prefer the iced but both were very good. Our three year old had a unfortunate mishap and lost her eggs to the ground. Without even saying anything, the staff brought her new eggs. Such a positive experience 10/10.

I am a frequent customer of this location, but unfortunately have continued to receive a different experience every single time I go, dependent upon staff working that day. They continuously get my husband and I’s food order wrong, forget to make coffee decaf or use the wrong milk, and sometimes altogether forget ingredients in certain specialty drinks for non-coffee drinkers. I realize they hire new staff routinely, but they should be training on consistently, esp when it’s $8 a coffee. I have notified the staff multiple times but typically receive a rude response of ‘we can remake it you like, but some staff is newer, that’s why.” Never an apology, never a refund, always that they can remake when it’s 30+ minutes later and the place is packed. Today is the last time I’ll attempt going again and try their other locations if at all.
