I am a frequent patron of UCBC but today’s order left me disappointed. I ordered through DoorDash but even still, what happened should have been avoidable. I received some of the worst breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. We requested the bagels be toasted, they were not. The cheese was not even slightly melted. And they put a brick of preprepared “scrambled” eggs twice the thickness of the bagel on there with a small amount of chewy (not crispy) bacon. I was extremely disappointed considering I’ve been patronizing Upper Crust in Darien for years. Upon coming to leave this review I saw a review by Joel from 5 months ago with a photo of a significantly more appetizing bagel,and that’s what I had come to expect from this establishment. But unfortunately I can see they are not consistent. What a shame.

As someone from NY I knew I needed a go to bagel place that felt like a Long Island bagel. This place is as close as can be! Just wish they put more of that delicious cream cheese on there. We will def be going back but just asking for “extra cream cheese”

Stop here on our travels back to MA, o got an egg bagel and horseradish cream cheese. I love that they put lots of horse radish in the cream cheese. The bagel could have been a little chewer for my taste.

We went this morning. expecting to have a nice bagel brunch. We arrived around mid day to find that they were almost out of bagels and what they had was a very small selection none of which we wanted. Now, I’m not terribly picky when it comes to brunch places but I must say that when a restaurant has Bagel in the name, I expect them in the middle of a Saturday to have a pretty good selection of… bagels. Call me crazy but that’s what I went there for and that’s what I expected. I ended up having a turkey sandwich of some sort that was decent enough but if you’re going to call yourself Upper Crust, Bagels, for the love of Mike have bagels there.
