Social Profile:

Our headquarters in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana, is not just a restaurant and bar. It’s a throwback to pubs of old, where friends and neighbors gathered to share old stories and create new ones. Our Bloomington Brewpub is where it all began, but just like our beer, we’ve continued to innovate and reimagine it over the years. Our seasonal fare is just as carefully crafted too, with lunch and dinner menus that feature locally sourced ingredients and plenty of creative options for vegetarians and vegans. Spring through fall, enjoy your beer on our patio where you’ll be sure to run into friends or make new ones. You can even enjoy live music certain days of the week.

Contemporary pub grub accompanies rotating house brews in a comfy, art-lined space with a patio.

We came in on a Friday night for dinner. There was no wait to get a table for 3. The service was quick and friendly. We had pretzels and cheese for a starter. I honestly was not a fan of the cheese dip for the pretzels. It was thicker than expected and had a weird grainy texture. We ordered a Bison burger w/ broadripple chips, a classic burger with fries, and fish and chips. It was all very good. I would definitely eat here again.

In town for IU vs ILL. Big red crushed ILL. Went here Sunday for lunch. Pork tacos were nice. Pulled pork looked excellent. Burger was great. I did not have any beer however everyone was talking about how good it is. This will be a regular stop when in town.

I’ve been here a total of three times in two visits and love this place. The beers are excellent and all the food that I’ve had has been very good as well. I’ve had the pulled pork sandwich, the hot chicken sandwich and the burger. All great at a nice price. My only feedback would be that it takes a little too long to get beers for a brewery. Would still recommend.

As much of a Bloomington Institution than any other along these couple of blocks, and the downtown is incomplete without it. And I think I’ve earned the right to say that – I’ve been recently christened a townie, possibly to my dismay. But don’t just take my word for it – close friends who have made Bloomington their home, graduated from IU, and regular strangers have hailed Upland as a favorite in the rotation. I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like here, and Upland’s sound beer selection makes Dry January a rough proposition.

They get bonus points for playing Bob Ross and Pokemon on their screens.

Was there on game day with many other hoosier fans! No wait, great service! Our server, Hailey, was knowledgeable and very friendly! The pulled pork and blue cheese slaw was fantastic! Mimosas and Teddy Bear brews were a perfect pairing to our selections! Only one con, sitting by the door was a tad chilly! But the beer kept warming us! So overall, great experience!

John S was our server last night and he made our dinner experience fantastic! We were celebrating my son’s 18th birthday (but he didn’t want that to be public) and we had a wonderful time. John was attentive and anticipated needs making a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. He was knowledgeable about the beers and made recommendations. Our food was exactly as ordered and absolutely delicious! We had the soft pretzels, nachos, pulled pork, steak frites, beer cheese burger, and the classic burger and would recommend all of them! The hostess was friendly and attentive. We had reserved a table ahead of time online and we were seated right away. I highly recommend Upland for celebrations or every day dining. Ask for John! 🙂

Absolutely amazing. I ordered the turkey and guacamole club and it was made to perfection. My fiance ordered the beer battered fish and chips and, as a bostonian, confirms that Upland Brewery is the only.place in the midwest that knows how to properly cook fish. We were well more than satisfied with the service. We got to sit right next to the brew room where they make their own inhouse beers. I 10/10 recommend anyone of any age to stop in and try their amazing food and great beers. Dragonfly IPA and Wheat Ale were my personal favorites.

I have dined here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Our server today was Jido and he was spot on the best! I had the fish and chips and they were superb. My husbands favorite beer is the Upland Wheat with the Hoosier Gameday Lager running a close second. You will not be disappointed here!

Update:

The place is still the same. Could use better service. Food is decent.

The chicken burger had a very thin patty definitely not worth the price. The server seemed to be in a rush and not really caring to make an effort.
The fries however were really good. If I go there, it would probably be fries.
