First time up in the area found the lodge on Airbnb. It was great. The restaurant that was on the property. I had three great meals over three days. Staff was very friendly and helpful with this out-of-state guy answering my questions and give me tips on what to do very nice and I will be back.

It was Tuesday and on a whim we decided to drop in. We started out with the corn ribs, which was something I’ve never had before and no, it’s not ribs. It’s actually corn on the cob sliced and quarters with a aïoli maple sauce and it was amazing. I had the Cantina bowl and I have to say it was fresh and filling. My companion had the nachos and the chicken tortilla soup, which lucky for me I was able to eat for her. It wasn’t because she didn’t like it. She just doesn’t eat as much as I do. After dinner, we had the strawberry shortcake and the bananas foster both were great ways to end the meal. Sorry there were no pictures because I was so hungry from paddling. I had to consume everything and I forgot to take photographs.

Great little restaraunt in the Adirondacks! A good selection of food and drinks to choose from, along with amazing staff, make this an amazing place to check out. And of course, the food was delicious. I highly recommend Up a Creek for a great breakfast!

We have been wanting to stop here for awhile and today was a beautiful day to get outside. We ate breakfast and everything was delicious. As you can see the portions are big! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back. We also want to try dinner.

Because you were polite in your response, and because I did not ask because I didn’t know if it would make a difference, I am editing my review and changing it from 3 stars to 4 because I did NOT give you a chance to make it right. I am sorry about that! In YOUR defense, I visited on your first day back open.
This was my favorite breakfast spot in this area a few years ago. Thank you to Danielle for your forever-sweet vibe, you make it so pleasant to come here. Food was good but the portions were a LOT smaller than I remember from last time, but in my defense the last time I was here was 2 years ago.
I ordered the stuffed French toast, chocolate milk and a side of bacon.

On my vacation at lake placid I have tried a variety of different restaurants and this one stood out to me the most the atmosphere was cozy and felt very welcoming the food was delicious I would recommend there burger and there poutine fires as a dish a small group of waiters and waitresses who were very nice and quick with the orders overall the up creek restaurant is a must go the food fills you up the service is great the restaurant is very well designed.

A hidden gem to be sure! After a less than stellar experience at another local breakfast spot, I came in worried but the food was great, and the service was excellent. The waitress was especially nice to my children, which I thought a special touch (as most servers ignore children). I so very rarely give five stars but this experience deserves it, in every way!

The exterior could use a little bit of maintenance but don’t let that fool you! The food was surprisingly good and very reasonably priced. We were especially pleased that our dog could sit with us in their covered outdoor eating area. They even had a non-slip dog bowl that they filled up with water for her. Our waiter seemed a bit shy but was very polite and attentive. I would definitely go back if we are ever in the area again.

This spot is marvelous. Tim D loves to cook and is creative– fabulous ‘corn ribs’. Delicious. The best meal I had over my three days in Lake Placid. Very obvious Tim loves cooking and seeing his guests enjoy good food. One of his sons works the counter. Nice warm welcoming fun people. Great surprise— a humble outer appearance and a gem of great flavor and good people inside.
