I went to Uoki for the first time about a week ago with my sister. The chef (and I presume owner) Mark, was the sweetest man. I felt so welcome. He even brought us stuff to try that we had not ordered, and offered to make us a favorite Korean dish of ours that is off menu if we ever call ahead. The food was great, and I will definitely be returning. A great atmosphere, it is a mix of relaxed and elegant. The price of the food was reasonable. I highly recommend Uoki.

The sushi menu is very creative, and the house special roll as well as the nigiri we tried were fresh and really delicious. The owner was very friendly and shared a drink with us when we were the last customers of the night. So far the Korean items on the menu that we tried were pretty solid too. Definitly going back, this place has a nice, quiet, pleasant vibe.

Mark is one of the most-dedicated sushi chefs in Denver, and he makes sure the food is prepared and served the way he knows it’s right. Many come just for the bi bim bob. The sushi is fantastic. There is a nice selection of hot and cold sake. It’s a cozy little place about the size of what you might expect a small coffee shop or deli to be. Go across the street to Pablo’s for delicious coffee and pastries afterward, or treat yourself to Mark’s green tea ice cream or his must-try ice cream tempura!

Have been here now then a dozen times. Always a friendly staff. Anyone who says differently is either angry to begin with, or old and cranky. Mark the owner is simply delightful. His food is always excellent. If you like sushi, this is your best option for 20miles.

I have tried sushi all over denver and never had sushi this good. I love the chef Mark. All of there rolls have really great sauces. The yellow tail is a must. Also if you ask for spicy crab hand roll, not on the menu, its amazing. Cant leave denver with out trying it. Tell Mark Maureen sent you 😉

We LOVE this place! It’s one of our favorite places to go for dinner and the best place we’ve found for sushi in Denver for a reasonable price! The staff is always friendly and food is delicious! Try the tempura cheesecake!

Mark is amazing chef. The sushi is sooooooooo good. Most of the time we go and have Pork Bul Goi Goi for lunch, however sometimes treat ourselves to sushi. The sauces are made i house and can even be purchased. I get a thing of the salad dressing to go most of the time with me. And fairly unknown the soy sauce in the low sodium containers is actually made in house as well. The place is amazing!

The only restaurant on the block that is actually good. Everything else is either awful or simply passable.

Mark is always friendly and I don’t think there has ever been a time where our plate was served without several pieces of extra nigiri.

I just wish I had a more adventurous palate so I could try more dishes.

I had the worst meal of my life there last evening. The meat in the Bul Gal Bi was so tough it was inedible. I literally couldn’t swallow it. I had to take the ball of meat out of my mouth and put it on the plate. I made the waitress aware of the situation. She removed my plate and brought me a small bowl of rice and a tablespoon of another type of meat. When the $48.00 bill came, I protested that I shouldn’t be charged for the $16.00 meal I couldn’t eat. She returned with a $44.00 bill and stated that she would make up the difference and, if I refused to pay the balance, it would come out of her pocket. She said that once they cook the food it has to be paid for. I paid the bill and will never, ever eat there again.
