Let me start with my only Con:
Our waitress Jamie H. who seemed to have a HUGE chip on her shoulder wasn’t friendly at all. Took away from our experience (first time there plus my birthday celebration)
This is why I gave the atmosphere a 1 star.
Pros: I do want to say our waitress Jamie H. was on top of everything with refills just wish she was friendlier.
Pros: Some ordered pizza while others ordered entrees. Absolutely No, complaints about the food. It all was delicious. Other than we received our appetizers with our food which takes away from being an appetizer.
**Another thing to keep in mind we were told 18% gratuity will be added when we were seated. We were totally fine with this. She instead added 20% gratuity. We always tip 20+% anyway.
I just want to say to management and to our waitress. We would have gladly tipped you more than the 20% but I can’t get past how unfriendly she was to us. We continued saying Thank you and trying to be friendly ourselves.
Uno’s has always been one of my favorite pizza places, even though it takes us nearly 35–40 minutes to get there. My husband took me out for an early birthday dinner last night, and unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what we expected.
When we were seated, it took about five minutes for our waitress to come to the table. I understand that Uno’s now uses a new handheld ordering system, but I made sure to clearly tell her multiple times — at least four — exactly how we wanted our pizza prepared, specifically requesting marinara sauce. When the pizza arrived, it was wrong and didn’t taste right. It had large tomato chunks instead of the marinara we had asked for several times.
What made things worse was that our waitress never came back to check on us. She didn’t refill our drinks or ask how everything was. We had to flag down a manager just to get refills. When I explained the situation, the manager was incredibly kind and professional. He confirmed that our pizza was not made correctly, apologized sincerely, and even made things right by preparing a new pizza for us to take home and bake ourselves. He also personally checked on us afterward, which we really appreciated.
While I’m grateful to the manager for his excellent customer service and for turning a disappointing situation into a better one, our waitress definitely needs more training on attentiveness and communication. It’s unfortunate that such great food and management were overshadowed by poor service.
