I said I would give them another chance and I did. I only committed to a slice, but it was good this time! I am still not sure what the heck happened last summer, but I am happy to report that the pizza is actually tasty and the sauce was decisively not brown. Yay!

This is honestly the first time I have been served a pizza with BROWN tomato sauce. Edible, but odd, and not exactly pleasant. Frozen pizza is better. Sorry but it was seriously WEIRD! I will probably go back and give it another chance, but such a strange pizza!

The last time I will ever go back here. The staff is super rude and very condescending. Theres no order and the lady behind the bar today was so mean to me and smoked with me outside WEED! I’m not even legal to be smoking! Was there today and I asked for my charger and she was very sarcastic. I’m glad I’m not in bad holiday spirits because that would’ve went a whole different way. All I asked for was my charger. Very rude just rude!

Neighborhood establishment. Near Old Doninion U. Food is good, subs are excellent. Try Mike’s Special Italian sub, or the steak sub. The specials are priced right also. Friendly locals atmosphere. Wait staff/bartenders are great. Virtually no turnover in staff, nice to see the same bartenders, cook, every time we visit. Forgot to mention the pizza is really good, they’ve been making pies a long time.

As an young African American 33M, definitely not a place on the top of the list of best visits. The atmosphere is old retired white people. Plain and simple. DO NOT GET drunk here. Lost my phone when drunk, didn’t start anything and was very curtious. Banned next day for being drunk walking out. (Regretting giving $10 tip) more of a good boys club of old retired white people at a friend’s bar vibe. Went 4 times, First 2 times lady messed up my drink orders. I still paid and tipped(obviously not a lot). 3rd time different bartender, a male, decent attitude. I tipped decently because he was good at his job. 4th time, I was banned for walking out drunk. Take it as that, however the 4th was the last time for me. All other races seem welcome though.

Pizza was pretty good, the interior was very… biker bar close to a trailer park, which is fine if that’s what they’re going for, just didn’t feel very inviting imo. Also felt a bit off seeing that they’re trying to cater to the college crowd, but the average age of their patrons seemed to be in their late 50s.

Great local bar. Good pizza, burgers. Not a trendy, foo-foo yuppie, hang out like the obnoxious microbrewery next door ( let’s hope it’s a shortlived trend). Pool table, flat screen tvs for sports, full bar, working class people looking for a Cheers like pub where they do indeed know your name.

Saw the sign that they are best known for their subs but we tried the pizza for take out. Pizza is pretty cheesy and sauce is tasty. Thin crust is good. Nice staff. Would like to try the subs and go back at some point to have a beer.

Cool spot. I go there all the time. They have live music on the regular and unlike most places it always seems to be good. They have a large patio for all the smokers, queens inside, and good prices on drinks. Bartenders are cool, cute and not mad at me lol
