I loved coming here for years. I spent tons of my money on gatorades, water, food, fruit roll ups, cigarettes, medicine….
So I casually took a fork today. A man told me with hostility that “next time, no. Not your home”. So so offered a dollar for the fork. He banned me from the store. I asked what I did wrong. He refused to have a conversation with me. Sorry for being homeless. Afterwards, when I start to protest with a sign reading “Bigots inside” they claim that I disrespected them by tossing a fruit roll up back on the counter in response to a price hike. 0 chill. Food is good I’m going to miss it.
This isn’t your culture, friend. You can not force us to act how you were raised. You can make a point quietly before escalating things to this point. Unacceptable. For shame.

This place is perhaps the best deli in Boulder. Im not just saying that because I know the owners and I worked there for a couple years- but because it truly is the best. They have amazing sandwiches, a wide array of smoking products, and a large selection of snacks and drinks to choose from. I love the deli- if you’re new to boulder, or have lived there and haven’t visited- Go. You won’t regret it

I should have asked for a refund. Consistency is everything. The three beef gyros i got are tiny. Outweighs any good gyros ive gotten from here. Very poor english from everybody. Very little and burnt meat, look!

Whoever was working here today between 1:30-2:00 pm, was on the phone the entire time we were ordering and getting the food to go. It took 30 minutes to get my food to go. I wad the only person who ordered when i came in. The Gyro doesnt even have french fries and the shawarma was so poorly wrapped that it was dripping sauce everywhere. The paper they use to wrap the food is not waxed, get wet and stuck to your food. What a horrible service! Never again!!

Ordered a double cheese burger. No sauces. Cheese onions and tomato. Took 20 minutes?!? Came out covered in ketchup and mustard with no cheese. Took it back. They fixed it. But for 20 minutes the patties were closer to boiled than seared. Do not recommended. A 7/11 sandwich would have been 1/4 the price and a better option.

For two nights in a row I’ve tried to order a tuna salad sub here, THEY REFUSE TO GET IT RIGHT. BOTH NIGHTS I GOT MEAT. Are they on drugs? Do they hate me? Not sure. I don’t eat poultry or beef or pork. Fish is it. Ive never been more upset.

This place is definitely running some sort of scam upcharging sodas they tried to charge me 13$ and change plus the tip the other day for 3 Jarritos which would have been almost 15$ …they are maybe 2$ anywhere else and just charged me 5$ for 2 canned sodas which are maybe a dollar a piece other places I think it’s a scam cuz rich college kids will just pay that and not think twice but as a long time Boulder resident this is kinda dishonest and makes me upset

I visited today and had a disappointing experience. Hashrima, the teller at the front, took my order and attempted to shortchange me. I paid with a $20 bill for a $12.49 meal but was only given back TWO DOLLARS and some change. When I pointed it out, that it should be $7.51 he immediately knew the correct amount to return—almost as if this wasn’t a mistake. He also was on his phone the whole time and after taking my order went outside to keep talking trying to avoid the confrontation! It makes me wonder how often this happens, especially to university students who make up most of their customers. Be sure to double-check your change if you visit!

It’s got a lot of options as both a market and a deli that serves shawarma/other Middle Eastern foodstuffs. I find the meals to be pretty yummy and a good value, and a drink and a burger or wrap is standard if I find myself in this part of Boulder.
