Finally an old school supper club style restaurant! These are hard to find in Southwest Florida or Florida in general. Atmosphere is upscale, cloth napkins and tablecloth yet prices are reasonable. Entrees come with your choice of soup or salad and hot bread is served with every meal. They have an early bird menu before 5:15 The lobster bisque was excellent, my fish was excellent and my wife’s swordfish was excellent. As this was our first visit I am sure we will return many times. They have a fish fry special on Wednesday and Friday. Great job owners add managers. Don’t change a thing!!

University Grill absolutely delivered.
This is definitely not a hidden spot — the place was packed and there was no parking when we arrived! Luckily the bank next door was closed so we were able to park there. That alone tells you everything… people love this place.
I ordered the prime rib with horseradish and au jus and a loaded baked potato, and it did not disappoint. The prime rib melted in my mouth — tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I added the lobster bisque, which was rich and delicious, and we also had sautéed mushrooms that were excellent.
Each entrée comes with your choice of soup or salad. The Caesar salad is made from scratch — I had a bite and it was fantastic. Fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed.
My friend ordered the fish special (not grouper, but just as delicious!), and Suzanne had the coconut shrimp, which were great. We also loved the warm bread served with a flavorful herb oil dipping sauce.
The energy reminded me a little of a Houston’s-style restaurant — lively, classic, and dependable. Of course, nothing compares to Houston’s (my all-time favorite!), but University Grill absolutely holds its own with great food and service.
Stephanie, our server, was attentive and efficient. We were in and out right on time for the show we were heading to.
If you’re looking for a hearty, delicious meal with generous portions and great value — this is your spot. I’ll definitely be back.

Boston Scrod as good as any fish ever served in Boston For $20 It’s delicious. Atmosphere this restaurant deserves a collar shirt. Seafood fresh and service attentive. Can eat for under $100 but the Chocolate Crown Royal Martini for dessert was worth it

they have an earlybird specials for $20. it includes a main course, a vegetable potato salad or soup. It’s a choice of halibut, steak, salmon, tuna, steak, meat, meatloaf, and some other things that I can’t remember. we had this wonderful dinner and for three people. We got meatloaf, coconut, shrimp, and halibut. And everything was glorious. And they also gave you bread with seasoned olive oil and or butter and the three of us ordered a full course meal along with an appetizer and we had two cocktails Mobile came to $92. Is between four and 530 really want to go for a lovely meal. I highly suggest this.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner! Our server Nicole was friendly and took amazing care of us! The food was so good! We had the fried calamari, which was fried to perfection! And the clam chowder is a yummy soup! The fried haddock was SO good. The baked haddock with mixed veggies was cooked perfectly! And the key lime pie is definitely a delicious dessert! We will be back and will ask for Nicole!!

This I am writing about are dinner reservation for 4 at 5:45 tonight (Jan. 24th) at the University Grill. We were seated and asked what drinks we would like to have. We waited about 15 minutes and received our drinks. After that our waitress took our dinner order. We are now at 6:00pm, it was not until 7:20 that we received our dinner. Nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes after entering the restaurant we received our food.
I write your company first because nothing was said about the length of time it took to get our food and the fact that we told our waitress we needed to leave for a show. We eat fast as we could, received boxes to take the rest of our dinner home before being rushed to leave for a show we had tickets.
This is the part of my story I want you to clearly understand!
Upon leaving we found a waitress, not one who served our dinner and gave her our bills and credit cards as we were rushed to be at our show. We told this waitress that our waitress was not around and hoped she could run these credit cards. I told her we would be by the front door and wait to sign our bill. Immediately the manager came over by the door and asked if we were leaving without paying our bill. You got it- directly confronted us about not paying!
I told him and pointed to the waitress we gave our credit cards to and then located and pointed to our waitress. The manager walked away and talked to our waitress. Nothing was said by your manager. Nothing, no I’m sorry for the food delay, Nothing, sorry I suspected you trying to leave without paying. NOTHING!

The first courses were very good – Caesar Salad (anchovies offered) and mushroom soup. Our entrees, prime rib and Chicken Milanese were poor quality and a large portion. Our server was very pleasant. If you like quantity and don’t care about quality, this place is perfect. Easy access to the Barbara Mann theater.

This was my family’s first time dining here, and we decided to take advantage of the “early dine” specials from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. We were pleased to be seated right away when we arrived at 4:45 (the hostess did tell us we needed to vacate the table by 6:30). The variety of options on the early dine menu was excellent, as was the children’s menu. I ordered the Parker House Baked Haddock, which came with a choice of side, bread, and choice of soup or salad. The haddock was excellent! I ordered the children’s fish and chips for my daughter, and it was generously portioned. Her meal also came with a one-scoop sundae, which wasn’t outstanding, but it definitely made her day!

Went to dinner here sunday evening for my mothers 77th bday. My parents love this place. We eat here for all birthdays. No prime rib which was her favorite…no big deal she ordered something else. Our server sandra (I Think that was her name. Short hair and no personality) was terrible. Mine and my kids filet was super rare and just not good when it was ordered medium. The worst was he ordered a caesar salad with NOOOOO anchovies, when she realized the cooks had made an error she took them off while we were watching with her hands instead of going to the kitchen and removing or making a new salad. We told the manager and he did bring a new salad…Big deal! They should of comped something. Mom had the chicken marsala which she didn’t care for. 10 people ate and no one really enjoyed their food or the experience. We will not be returning.
