The most unique part of the lounge is the dining room and it is not quite low quality and not worth visiting in my opinion. The buffet was excellent with giant tender pieces of shrimp being the highlight hot dish and the made to order ramen noodle bar (in the back opposite of the dining room) a fantastic options with amazing pork belly and great broth flavors. The seats itself are super comfortable and the Wi-fi is very fast. It’s a great way to consume a few hours before or between a flight.

Polaris united lounge is reserved for international travellers on business/ and first class. There is a nice bar serving up to medium tier alcohol beverages including a good selection of cocktails. Food in the general area is fairly sparse but the salad bar is well stocked with a large variety of ingredients. The most unique aspect of Polaris lounges are their private dining area— basically a sit down restaurant with table service inside the lounge with different food offerings made to order. That sets them apart from other airline lounges due to the special exclusivity. Quality of food within dining area is high and so is the service (but only within the private dining area. The service at the general bar is average, sometimes inattentive). The entire area is spacious with ample seating, showers and customer service help if needed. I love their wine glasses; such a unique design; they are from chef and sommelier. I rate Polaris lounges one notch just below Krisflyer lounges. Overall impressed

It’s a spacious lounge with a lot of staff working here. I came on a weekday lunch time, and it’s very packed around the dining area but still had quite a bit of seats in other areas. They offered a great variety of hot food, salad, snacks, cheese, etc. Some of the restrooms were not particularly clean. Overall, it’s a nice lounge.

Service is one of the best amongst all lounges I’ve used across the world, along with the Seoul one. Here is the breakfast menu which is nice and food comes out decently fast. Drinks are stiff, great before you start a hardworking business trip!

This is definitely one of the best business lounges out there. Very modern, lots of space, great selections of seating area, food and drinks. Since my international flight is past midnight and Polaris lounge closes at 11pm, I only had 45 minutes to enjoy the facilities. It’s sad to move to its little brother United Club lounge afterwards. What a huge difference. Note to self, come here earlier to check out the dining room!

The dining room is exquisite, great service and awesome sit down meal. The Polaris burger is good but I would order medium rare next time, medium is a bit dry. The apple tart is not good, tastes like apple puree in a pie crust cup.

I have visited the SFO Polaris lounge many times and I always have a pleasant experience. The lounge is high-end, a lot of great food options, the open bar features top-shelf liquor and many wine options. The bathrooms, changing/shower rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is amazing!
There is a buffet, but I prefer to eat at the dinning room. The manager Solis is the sweetest, so friendly and attentive. The servers at the dinning room are also very polite and welcoming.
It can get crowded before peak flight hours so I suggest arriving an extra 30 minutes early to really enjoy all the offerings.

For the most part this lounge does everything well. The quiet room has excellent recliner to take a nap. The restaurant does have good food but can be very busy especially after 8 PM when all the TransPac flights are due to depart. The buffet food is meh.
One thing that is stellar about the washrooms are that they are huge. It’s great to be able to change an outfit before a long flight.
My main issue is with the people that are in the lounge, perhaps it’s a USA thing, but too many people speaking loudly on their phones. Good thing the lounge is so large you can move elsewhere. Hard to enforce I suppose because of freedom and being a patriot.

This is a nice, spacious and relaxing lounge, with a great bar, buffet and sit down meal options. The restrooms are clean as are the sitting/ eating areas. Lots of charging stations, tables to sit at and a pleasant time to enjoy while waiting for your boarding.

Came at around 230pm. It was easy to get in. The area was spacious and clean. Unfortunately the wait for the dining room was over an hour despite a relatively quiet day at the lounge. Meanwhile the food on the buffet was pretty sad. Bread was stale, fruit flies hovering over the salad bar. Would opt for the centurion lounge if they had it in the same terminal.

Despite holding a business ticket and being Star Gold, I was unable to guest in my colleague on the same flight who was flying economy. When they said no guests, their look of disgust at reception that I’d even suggest bringing an economy passenger to their glamorous Polaris lounge was as though it offended their very core values as high society receptionists. But here’s the thing, the Polaris lounge isn’t too bad but given it’s United’s Business and First lounge exclusively, it’s only as good as the standard lounge of most Star Alliance airlines, like, Singapore Airlines lounge is on par with Polaris easily, as is ANA or even my own Air New Zealand’s Koru Lounge.
The dining room was a nice touch, I had a burger and the cookie which were both decent and the shower rooms were ok, but again, on par with any non-business lounge of most other Star Alliance carriers. Similar to the Star Alliance Lounge in LAX.
Once my colleague arrived to Polaris and was rudely rejected as if the reception was attempting to hold back vomit at the sight of an economy passenger, I decided to leave and take her to United Club, or as I like to call it, the United Bus Station as it’s actually embarrassing how gross the United Clubs are. But at least she got to rest and eat some stale sandwich before the flight, I guess.
