To start this place is disgusting! It smells like dirty mop water and old carpet half the time, the dishes weren’t fully cleaned, and the food IS SUBPAR AT BEST.
I usually try to give a place at least three times to impress me, but this last time I
visited, my table and the table next to me were FREAKING OUT because there was an entire mouse in the dishes WITH the food! Live and crawling around! My LAST time at this restaurant, and it is NOT worth being your first.
First, you are required to pay at the front when you enter, but there is no clear communication that if you arrive near the lunch-to-dinner transition, you will be charged an additional $5.50. Instead of informing customers upfront, the staff approaches you while you’re actively eating to demand the payment, which is extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate.
During my visit, multiple waitresses hovered around my table throughout the meal, creating a feeling of being watched rather than served. One waitress interrupted me mid-bite to tell me I needed to pay the extra charge immediately instead of allowing me to finish my meal. I found this rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, she then escalated the situation to a supervisor, who also came to my table, turning a simple billing issue into outright harassment.
The food itself was below average, and the restaurant is very outdated, especially compared to other buffets that are clean, modern, and well-managed. Overall, the atmosphere felt chaotic and poorly run, and the lack of professionalism from staff made the entire experience stressful instead of enjoyable.
A buffet should feel relaxed and welcoming, this one did not. Between the poor communication, constant interruptions, and subpar food quality, this was a disappointing experience from start to finish. I will never return and do not recommend this place.
P.S. It’s a red flag when you don’t see many Asians eating at an Asian buffet. That usually means they know the food quality is bad. I got this information from one of my close Vietnamese friends.
Our group left a tip we thought was fair for the service received, but one of the waitresses came to the table and said it wasn’t enough because our bill was higher. First of all, tips aren’t required, and if someone gives you something, try to be grateful instead of rejecting it and demanding more. There’s no issue with giving more if the service is exceptional. On top of that, the waitress even pointed to the suggested tips side of the receipt, saying the amount shown is REQUIRED to give. Absolutely ridiculous behavior!!
