What a lovely experience from start to finish! The drinks were the perfect balance of alcohol and flavor. The presentation of everything was on point. The salmon tartar was great but the crispy shrimp bao buns were next level. John, Manny, and everyone were wonderful and attentive, a very well oiled machine. We will most definitely return for another visit.

Unit B is a cute little restaurant with a New York/
Cuban prohibition feel to it. I think they’ve only been open for a short time though. The menu is not extensive but has a little bit of everything for everyone. The sizes are definitely shareable which is great but when you have a table of 3 and have no room for the dishes you ordered- it’s annoying. I would recommend this restaurant as a cute bite to eat but not during the holidays. We had a reservation and still had to wait 1 hour 30 min + for our table and then was rushed to order because the kitchen closes at 11:30. Our waitress was also one of the bartenders so trying to get help from her was very difficult. I want to give this place another shot but I also feel like I’ve already had everything on the menu so maybe just for drinks. The seasonal drinks were good though, give them that.

Not sure how long they’ve been open but it feels like they are still figuring things out. Had an 8:30 Friday reservation. We were seated immediately, which was great. Atmosphere is very nice – speakeasy meets steakhouse kind of vibe. Lots of cocktails and sizzling meat all around and it looked/smelled great. But they were understaffed – only 2 servers and 1 hostess in the dining room and 2 bartenders behind the bar. They were hustling but couldn’t keep up. Water glasses kept running dry. Drinks took forever. Other requests took 5 times as long as they should have because they simply had too many things going on and would get distracted and forget what you asked them.

Food came out fairly quickly but was honestly a little sub-par. The chicken sliders were blah – too thin and dried out and not enough bbq sauce, and the buns were burnt not toasted – great concept but every bit was overcooked and under loved. The tenderloin steak was very good. The short rib was bland and boring – we had both the short rib entree over mashed potatoes and the short rib mac & cheese appetizer. The mac & cheese itself was tasty, but the short rib was just lumps of flavorless meat. Same for the entree, although the potatoes were also fairly boring and flavorless – not a “bad” meal, just a really boring/bland one. However, the tenderloin served on a hot stone was the opposite, well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

Dessert was better. The chocolate chip bread pudding was a gigantic portion and very cinnamony. I really enjoyed it. My friend didn’t but I think that was more about specific preferences – she likes a very traditional bread pudding in whiskey sauce and I much preferred this approach using ice cream as the lubricant. The chocolate cake was also surprisingly satisfying. Not a traditional layer cake, more European in nature but rich and satisfying.

It feels like there is potential if they can get their staffing figured out and rescue the short rib recipe.

My company hosted an event here and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was beautiful with the Christmas décor, and the food was excellent (the Korean chicken sliders were unreal). The service was equally impressive. Bela was incredibly accommodating and kind. When she noticed a few team members couldn’t eat certain ingredients in the appetizers, she proactively arranged fresh versions without anyone even asking. It was a thoughtful gesture and she truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. We’ll definitely be back, and I hope our company hosts more events here in the future.

Went here last night around 6:30 with a group of 5 for the Christmas pop up. The decor is great for the season. Our waiter Manny was amazing and made our experience wonderful. I ordered the short rib with mash and Churrasco sliders and it was delicious. I also had the Fuego y Pasion drink and it was delish. Ambiance is great with music playing but not too loud so we were able to enjoy our conversation. It was our first time there and I will be back. Recommend making a reservation because by the time we were leaving it was full.
