Stopped by for lunch and great place. Formerly the Stag Bar, it’s an updated and cleaned up dive bar, but still with that awesome dive and historical feeling, including the back of the main bar. The main bar is nice and long with lots of seating. A 2nd bar is in the rear of a side room with a dj/karaoke setup for late nights and a garage door that opens up to the front sidewalk for nice weather days. There are several pool tables and dart boards, too. Ordered the special, rib tip basket and did not disappoint. Was a dry rub full of flavor. This is also a carryout liquor bar too. Highly recommend. Wings are 75 cents on Thursdays.

This place is a local iconic bar. It’s interior is currently being renovated, however they still have some old classic decor. It makes for a perfect scene. They do allow indoor smoking on one side of the bar, be prepared. They offer a full menu of typical bar food. The drinks and food were both good. They have a digital juke box, pool tables, darts and a couple of arcade games.

The Cheese Curds are to die for!! We love coming to Unique Blue for a nice sit down meal. Ever since they went non-smoking it’s been a much more pleasurable experience, and the food is always cooked to perfection. Sometimes the service is a little slow but with the limited staff they employ it’s 100% worth the price and wait.

The food here is amazing! I order alot it’s always good. The breaded cheese burger is too die for! The garlic parmesan fries are heavenly and the white cheddar cheese curds are divine!! Usually only takes about 20 minutes to get a pick up order. For my husband and I to eat runs about $35.00. some of the best food in Bluffton definitely a hidden gem!! My only dislike is the small amount of fries you get vs. the price. It takes me 2 days literally to eat my breaded cheeseburger. We order the fries for 2 and the quality is great but quantity vs the price is not comparable.

At first we thought this was just a bar. But we ordered food and it was fantastic . Large portion size and great prices. We have been two times and will return.

Excellent onion rings. They make fries properly too, crispy without having to be to make them crispy. Service is great, fast and friendly. I did go when it wasn’t super busy. But I could see they could handle a rush and still be friendly. Price is just right for quality and quantity. Still need to try wings and the braut burger.

Stag Bar and Grill Wing Review:

First and foremost let’s forget the wings for a minute and talk about the Piggy Plate (left photo) “I think that’s what it was called.” The was curly steak fries with pulled pork, barbecue and a couple other sauces. This was a meal by itself and absolutely amazing. The mixture of everything was cooked to perfection and I will definitely be returning for this another day down the road. I mean WOW!

The wing description came from a friend of mine this morning before I wrote the review. “They’re cooked a lot like Hooters wings.” Once he said that, it was spot on. Slightly breaded, jumbo in size, crispy, juicy on the inside and the sauces homemade (vinegar based). Not our type of wing which is why the score was low, BUT I could see people loving this style so if this is your style this is definitely your spot!

Andy’s Score 7.4
Jon’s Score 7.6

Highlight: $.70 wings on Thursdays and that includes the whole wing, flat and leg. Crazy good deal for a larger wing. My favorite was the Stagenero Jr. Owner was proud and professional. Great place! Seriously check out the Piggy Plate (I know I’m screwing that name up, but man that was so good!)

Have heard good things about the food. Went for lunch about 6 months ago and had the wings and fries which were really good. But it took 1.5 hours when the place was maybe 1/3 full.

Went with 3 other couples on a Saturday night at 7 or so. We sat down, waitress/bartender took out drink order. AFTER she brought us our drinks she informed us it would be at least 1.5 hours to get our food! She said we could pay for our drinks and leave if we’d like. Of course I got a beer, so I had to chug it before we could go and anyone who ordered a fountain drink barely got to drink theirs. The place was again maybe 1/3 full. I know staffing has been an issue throughout the food service industry, but 1.5 hours on a very slow Saturday night just seems inexplicable to me. We won’t be back for awhile. We ran across the street to Parlor City Brew company and all of had our food in less than 20 minutes. And it was awesome food too. So it can be done!
