My 1st visit and very impressed. Packed for lunch with the majority well dressed business people. Prices were really good with a nice menu. Service was awesome with friendly servers. Also nice a warm not 63 Degrees like Darcy”s last week. I will diffently be back and highly recommend you give it a try.

Nice bar in the ever-improving east central Sprague area. Food was great. Love the popcorn before the meal. Look up Bacon Cheeseburger in a dictionary, and you will see a picture of theirs. Spot on! At one point I thought they were 21+, but it may be family friendly now. Great place to take your spousal unit to lunch…

Excellent food, location, and atmosphere. The only thing I wish they would improve on is service. There are only 2 servers and every time I go I sit at a table for 10-15mins before one of them comes with water and menus. And it’s not because of how busy they are because I’ve been there when they only have 3-4 tables seated and it’s the same. But if you’re willing to wait the food and drinks are delicious and the old bar is awesome.

We used to really like this place. Tonight, the staff kicked out a blue collar worker because he smelled a bit like gasoline. A husband and wife brought a toddler to the bar and decided to complain to management to kick him out. I (36F) stood up for him, and the family proceeded to harass me, with the husband even threatening to fight me. (I was less than half his size)
Union Tavern’s management disgustingly supported that family the entire way. We will not be going back.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Union Tavern a few times before with the most recent time being the afternoon of Saturday, January 6, 2024. The space itself is rustic-feeling in the best type of way. Red brick walls close you in creating a cozy feeling. The tavern is decorated in a way that is interesting but not overwhelming. I find it cool how they have old doors hanging from the walls!
As for food and drink, you gotta love a place that provides you with a basket of complimentary popcorn the moment you sit down. The prices at Union Tavern are possibly the best for an establishment of its kind in the Spokane area. Some of the happy hour specials are excellent and the Union is infamous for its $5 cheeseburger on Tuesdays. My dad and I were each going to get the $14.99 Saturday steak special but it didn’t begin until 5 p.m. so we opted for the regularly-priced burger at $10.99—which is still a great deal in this region. But the drink prices are even better than the food prices. Once again, the happy hour prices are excellent but on this most recent visit I ordered a couple vodka Red Bulls and they were just $5 each! A lot of places will usually charge you at least that amount just for the Red Bull. You can always get a big Budweiser for $5 as well.
I have always had incredible service at the Union and it continued this most recent time. Alexis was our server and she was nice, attentive, and accurate with everything we ordered. It was a full bar so I really appreciated the job she did. I am knocking one star off because our burgers were dry but don’t let that deter you from coming…the atmosphere, prices, and service are superb!
