Visited for bunch and we had a pretty good experience! They were able to seat our group of five pretty quickly. We really enjoyed how everything looked! It was elevated and casual; definitely a place you’d want to hang out. Our server was fine, but the manager was awesome. We thought the food was pretty good, but the menu wasn’t as friendly for vegetarians. We did get the califlower wings which were amazing! We also enjoyed the pretzel bites, smashburger, chilaquiles, shrimp and grits and avocado toast. I would love to come back for dinner and try that menu.

We made reservations for a Thursday night at Union Social and had a great dinner. They were busier than expected but the service was still great. We just ordered appetizers and drinks and our food came out hot and fast. Our server was friendly and was able to answer questions and make suggestions. The atmosphere is warm and a little cozy. This used to be church and it still holds that old charm.

I had read and heard some not so positive comments about this new place and made me hold back on coming for awhile but was passing by for lunch today and thought I would check from myself. Definitely more of an upscale feel with a speakeasy in the basement. First walking in you notice a large U shape bar and large dinning room with tables and booths. I sat at the bar and first notice while sitting how comfortable the stools are. Looking around, all the chairs looked comfortable. They have a lunch menu but after realizing its $1 wings Monday, that made my choice easy. Less than 5 mins after ordering the wings were sitting in front of me. Bone In, Buffalo, with a hint of smoke and really pretty tender. They had their own flavor which was good. I have no complaints. Tuesday is 1/2 price Martinis.

Welcome to the big league, Union Social! This place is incredibly accommodating and truly a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend making reservations, as it’s quickly becoming the newest hotspot in the Fort Wayne area.

Our server (Shaun) was exceptional, making sure to request that the kitchen set aside vegetables for me since there isn’t a gluten-free bread option. She took the time to go over the menu with us and mentioned that there are great options for nonalcoholic beverages if you prefer not to drink.

The menu itself has a little bit of everything, catering to all taste buds. I can’t recommend this place enough check it out soon!

Met a couple of friends at Union Social for dinner. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Steak Cobb and Shrimp appetizer. The place was lively and nicely decorated for Christmas. Our waitress was great in spite of being busy. We are already scheduling another date to return.

This review is for the Blind Tiger “Speakeasy”, not for the upstairs restaurant – note that they share a kitchen.

Great potential, but rough execution out of the gate.

We had reserved a table in the bar but were mistakenly seated in the back room. We ended up moving ourselves to the bar rail without any issues. First impressions of the space were positive—the large bar and overall atmosphere fit the speakeasy theme they’re aiming for.

However, the dance-club music (an odd choice for a speakeasy) was played so loudly that normal conversation was difficult. The lighting was also far too bright for the ambiance they seem to be going for. There are two TVs in the bar area: one showing black-and-white films and the other playing reruns of The Sopranos, complete with nudity and sex scenes, which clearly made some guests uncomfortable.

For an upscale specialty bar, the drink menu felt extremely limited, and using Buffalo Trace for their signature bourbon Old Fashioned is a surprisingly low-end choice given the price point. We watched as bartenders used different recipes for the same cocktails, including adding vanilla liquor into the Tequila Daisy because “It just tastes better my way!” Charging $3 for a small bowl of stale popcorn actually made us laugh—though the bartender was kind enough to refill it at no cost.

We ordered three shareables, including the charcuterie board, but after waiting 90 minutes with no food arriving, we decided to cut our losses and close out. We witnessed many others doing the same out of frustration. When we questioned why the charcuterie couldn’t have been provided, management response was that “One kitchen, everything gets put in the same line.”

Blind Tiger team: change the playlist to match the vibe, turn down the volume and the lights, and upgrade/expand the drink menu and you could really have a winner here. We understand the growing pains of a new kitchen, but the overall experience needs tuning to match the concept.

We went for dinner on a Friday (upstairs restaurant not the speakeasy). We got seated immediately (had reservation) even though we were early, so that was nice, especially since they were very busy. Drinks took a while to come out and one was wrong, but it was fixed quick enough. Server didn’t know what the soup of the day was. Firecracker shrimp were nice and crispy. Caesar salad was made with a vinaigrette style dressing and pine nuts, it was a nice change from the typical Caesar salad. Salmon was overcooked, bland and served with potatoes that were also bland, instead of the polenta cake like the menu says. The stroganoff was really good, very flavorful and a good portion. Manager did check on us. Overall it was just an ok dinner experience but I think we will stick to either lunch or sitting at the bar next time.

Came here with a couple of friends for a late Christmas get-together and we had Monday as our server and seriously, he was absolutely amazing! Our first time trying this place since it re-opened. He told us about the specials, clearly knew the menu well and was able to answer questions and he was an excellent server! I had the Salmon and did not regret my decision at all! Fantastic! Thank you for the great experience!

As an avid fan of Black Canyon, we were very excited for this place to open up!

Walking in for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised to see an old friend of ours, Carl as the GM! We were very happy to learn he was the GM, and we know it’s in great hands!

Once we were seated, Monday introduced himself as our server. He was EXCEPTIONAL!

We ordered the preztle bites as an app, and my wife loved the cheese while I enjoyed the mustard spread.

For lunch, we had the steak frites and the Philly.

I tried my wife’s steak frites and while not a fan of coffee, the steak was cooked wonderfully and very flavorful. The mushrooms were amazing!

I felt the Philly I ordered was missing something, but still very good. After our meal, the PM asked us for our opinions and was very excited to hear our feedback. She suggested a few potential changes to the menu item to get our input, and that was such a great experience!

Overall, the service was top notch, and I’m exceptionally excited for the opening of blind tiger and to see their great menu continue to grow and evolve over time! Happy to have you local, keep up the great work!
