I went here with my husband last night for the first time. This place is a real gem! Low key but has so much vibe. Service was pleasant, professional and attentive. The wine we got was great. Definitely coming back here.

I usually love this place. The wine and beer selection is great! Outdoor area is so beautiful, but was very disappointed when we visited yesterday ( March 1st). We came in around 4:45-5:00pm and the two women at the bar area were snooty and seemed to be annoyed with just everything. After we got our drinks our group sat down and chatted. My children were with us as well but were behaving themselves. At some point I noticed one of the women roll her eyes and shake her head and some other people’s children. I mentioned this to my husband and he noticed it too. We frequent the square every Sunday and go to many of our favorite spots .and this was the first time I’ve experienced this type of service. I will say every other time I’ve been here the service has been great!

One of our favorite places in Georgetown. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a nice day outside.
You grab a glass of wine from the counter inside and then just relax outside in their courtyard filled with seating and sunshine. They do have some good shade, too.
They have a robust by the glass wine selection – I recommend the Poquito from Spain – one of my favorite wines I’ve had!
They also have good little snacks. Their butter board with bread is so delicious I crave it regularly.
Definitely a bougie little spot, but one that’s worth the spend!

Amazing wine bar we stumbled upon! Such a cute place with amazing wine, champagne and sparkling options. The charcuterie was also well appointed with yummy cheeses and meats. Loved being able to sit outside and feeling not in town while right off the square. Will definitely be a regular place for us!

Stumbled upon this new wine shop and enjoyed a lovely sparkling wine on the outside patio. Such a beautiful and peaceful vibe. Every detail is so thoughtful and gorgeous – even the bathroom! The wine and retail are all super unique and the owner is extremely friendly. Love the transformation of this historic building. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday and This place is truly unique, it offers wines from so many different countries and tells you the flavors in each one. They have beer options and non alcoholic as well. The appetizers are unique as well and top tier. The best part is you can shop while you sip. The owners and staff put a lot of care and thought into this establishment.

Union Merchant is the epitome of eclectic. Since its beginning as a blacksmith and buggy repair shop in 1919, it became an auto repair shop in 1950 and a transmission shop in 1980. Its genre was totally changed in 2013 as it was “restored” into an event center and evolved into Union Merchant, serving wine, beer, and creative and unique finger foods and offering mercantile items. Large and open, it’s a great place to hang out, meet friends, share stories and have fun. And if you look closely at the rafters, you can make out the names and numbers written in chalk of car parts from yesteryear.

Enjoyed this place so much during a get together with friends. I can’t stop thinking about the wine from that night and will be going back today to buy. I read past reviews and to give a WINE BAR multiple 1 star reviews because your kids can’t be controlled is another level on entitlement. This place is awesome!

Our new favorite place!! My husband and I love to visit the square and are thrilled with this new place. Not only are the staff knowledgeable they are extremely friendly. We had a glass of the suggested wine and loved it. We also ordered the charcuterie board which was pure perfection. It included fresh honeycomb and oh my gosh!!!
We especially loved the very pleasant and cute outside seating area. (They even let us park our bikes in the back area while we visited.)
Inside there is not only a nice selection of curated wines, there are gifts and beautiful and unique home decor.
Highly recommend and I know we will be back often.

Amazing wine bar in downtown Georgetown! We always stop in when visiting from Ft Worth. The food is delicious and paired perfectly with the ever changing wine list. The servers are always welcoming and know a lot about their wines. Beautiful outdoor seating is great on a nice Texas day and inside is cool and relaxing when it’s too hot. Great selection of wines that you can’t usually find at other places! Don’t skip over their beer list either!
