Glad we stopped. Had the Cor Blimey, amazing! Spicy mustard was great. The fish and chips were battered and fried, delicious. Fries were hand cut and yummy. Decided to add onion rings later! Kids had salami sub and meatball and provolone panini. The food was all freshly sliced to order and haddock and onion rings freshly battered and fried. Very cool staff, down to earth and very accommodating.

You know we are a pain as clients due to our allergies, my wife to dairy and me to garlic and onions (and all the family of these). These guys here have been awesome and very patient with us listening carefully to our diet limitations and proposing alternatives for both of us. The food is very good and tasty, the personnel is kind and very friendly. Btw. The servings are generous nad the prices are pocket friendly. Y highly recommend this place for any traveler or visitor. Please, if you’re over here, stop by. You will love it.

3rd time ordering from here and I must say, they’re consistently GREAT QUALITY meals every time! And the staff inside are the friendliest folks, to everyone that walks in or out! Highly recommend, especially their paninis!

First time eating here. Friendly staff/owner with great atmosphere and good food. Tried the “6 Philly Style Hot Roast Beef, it was really good! I heard they have then best fish & chips which I have to try next time I come back. They prefer cash for payment. You can also call ahead your order to save you time.

If you’re in the mood for a satisfying sandwich in Burlington, Vermont, you might want to check out the Union Jacks During my recent visit, I tried the Italian deli salami sandwich and the beef and onion rings and Swiss cheese sandwich.
First of all, the sandwiches were generously sized and very filling. The Italian deli salami sandwich was packed with high-quality, thinly sliced salami, along with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a zesty mayo-based sauce. The bread was fresh and had a satisfying texture, with just the right amount of chewiness.

The beef and onion rings and Swiss cheese sandwich was also quite good, although not as outstanding as the Italian deli salami sandwich. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the onion rings added a nice crunch. However, the Swiss cheese was somewhat lacking in flavor and didn’t stand out as much as I would have liked.

Unfortunately, the French fries were not to my taste. They were a bit too greasy and lacked the crispy exterior I was hoping for. However, this could just be a matter of personal preference, as some people might enjoy them that way.

Overall, I would recommend Union Jacks for its delicious sandwiches, especially the Italian deli salami sandwich. However, I might skip the French fries next time and try one of their other sides instead.

Don’t sleep on this place, highly recommend. The food is good (especially the british-themed offerings), but the real treat is the friendliest behind-the-counter staff of any lunch spot I’ve been to. Always warms my heart to order something from here. Try the meatloaf, you won’t regret it.

Union Jacks in Burlington, Vermont, is a hidden gem that brings authentic British comfort food to the heart of the city. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home.

The star of the menu has to be the fish and chips—perfectly crispy batter-dipped haddock paired with hand-cut fries that are cooked to golden perfection. It’s easily one of the best in town. The Ahoy Matey Wrap, packed with haddock, cheddar, lettuce, and tangy tartar sauce, is another standout, offering a fresh twist on classic flavors.

The portions are generous, the food is always fresh, and you can tell everything is made with care. While Union Jacks mainly focuses on takeout, there are a few cozy tables if you want to enjoy your meal right there. Though they don’t serve alcohol, the food more than makes up for it.

Whether you’re craving classic fish and chips or something a little different, Union Jacks delivers every time. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch or a quick takeout dinner, and once you try it, you’ll definitely be coming back for more.

I don’t leave too many google reviews, but this one’s worth it. Everyone here was beyond friendly and the turkey bacon cheddar panini I got was absolutely incredible. The fresh baked bread was some of the best I’ve ever had.

Some of the best fish and chips can be found here. The batter was spot on and the fish was superb. There was a line out the door at lunch hour but the folks behind the counter never sacrificed the integrity of friendly and courteous customer service. We dined in and couldn’t be happier with our experience.

What a way to start our 10-year anniversary trip! The service was so friendly and the food was AMAZING! My husband ordered the beef and onion and I had the turkey lurkey. The bar for sandwiches has been set and it’s going to be hard to beat!
