Loved it! This was the best meal I had during my trip to Milwaukee. I loved the smashed breakfast potatoes and the sandwich – I got the Lil Phatty breakfast sandwich, and everything was cooked to perfection. The bacon especially was something else. Great coffee! Great atmosphere, too. It’s not huge, so you might have to wait, but it’s totally worth it.

Loved this place! The interior feels very organic, clean, and thoughtfully designed, warm, quaint, and welcoming. It has the charm of a locally owned spot (and it definitely feels like one).

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made the whole visit even better. Coffee was bold and delicious, served in a great rustic mug, and the avocado toast was outstanding, crispy bread, fresh toppings, and so much flavor.

Overall, a cozy, well-kept spot with great food, great people, and a great vibe. Highly recommend!

We have been hearing about this place for a while now and I’m so glad we finally got to try it out. The wait was pretty long (45 mins at 9:30) but was well worth it. The service was phenomenal; Matt made sure we were well taken care of, sharing the specials, refilling our coffee and water, and just overall being a delight. The steak and egg burrito was fantastic, and my boyfriend liked his “big wolf” breakfast. The only con to our dining experience was that my matcha spritz took a while to get to the table (ended up getting our food first), but it was a busy Sunday so I didn’t fault them for it. Definitely try this place out! We’ll be back!

Great vibes, fantastic service, amazing food! We came for a late brunch and were not disappointed. I got the breakfast poutine and my husband got the breakfast burrito, and we split a side of bacon. Everything was sensational from start to finish, and all the servers and bartenders were friendly and kind. We will definitely be back!

This place is truly cozy and inviting location with an amazing chef. The dish I tried was absolutely incredible, and it’s really rare to experience such a perfect combination of flavors. The chef clearly knows exactly what they’re doing, and the service is excellent.

A quick note: be prepared to wait for a table about 25 minutes on weekdays and possibly around 40 minutes on weekends, according to my friends who live nearby. They’ve also mentioned that it’s very hard to get a table on weekends.

I was absolutely delighted by the food. The potatoes were simply amazing- perfectly cooked inside. I suspect they might boil them before baking, but whatever the method, it was incredibly tasty. My friend and I were both very impressed.

The only thing that disappointed me was that some drink prices were missing from the menu, such as lemonade, coffee, and matcha. I also found the price of the matcha lemonade quite high -almost $10. Had I known, I wouldn’t have ordered it. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the lemonade very tasty, even though I asked them to reduce the syrup (it usually comes very sweet). I also didn’t realize that extras like fresh mint and syrup were charged separately, and I could barely taste them. So this part was a bit upsetting. I recommend asking about the price of drinks not listed on the menu beforehand.

Another nice touch is that in the same building, there’s a small shop selling cosmetics, bags, and, as it seemed to me, a few antique items. There’s also a terrace nearby where you might be able to enjoy drinks, though I didn’t quite figure out how it works.

Overall, though, this place is wonderful, and I definitely want to return to try more of their likely delicious dishes.

I gave the food 3 stars because the cornmeal pancakes were super good, and the portion size was just right. The breakfast burrito was tasty too, and the house hot sauce really complimented the flavor. I did notice the burrito had a different flavor style and cut of steak other than what was listed on the menu, the burrito was a handheld because of the cilantro lime sauce that was drzzled on the tortilla.

The house potatoes were crispy and seasoned perfectly definitely a highlight.

The place has a cool, trendy vibe and seems like a local favorite. It’s in a small historic building, which was really neat. It did get a little noisy, but that just added to the lively atmosphere. There’s also a cute little boutique in the back not part of the restaurant, but fun to check out while you’re there.

The host was really friendly and let us choose between a table or bar seating. I wish they had outdoor dining since the weather was perfect that day, but overall, it was a great spot for breakfast with good pancakes and potatoes and nice service.

OMG! The food was chef’s kiss! My first bite of the Wolfundido had me melt into my seat! No extras needed – eat it as is! All of the flavors happily pop inside your mouth. My plan was to order the Pannise Benedict as my meal and the Wolfundido for take away (because I love me some eggs benny and the reviews were screaming about the Wolfundido).

Shortly after I placed my order, the server returned to my table with the menu and told me that the kitchen had run out of biscuits due to the busy morning. So, I ordered what I had planned to take away. After a couple bites, my server walked to my table with the Pannise Benedict!!! WHAAAAT?! She said that the kitchen found some biscuits and the dish was ON THE HOUSE!! When I told her what my plan had been she said, “It’s crazy how the universe works”

Listen…. Even without the comped dish, this place delivers great service! And if I were a resident here or had a longer contract, this would be my brunch spot! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

P.S. Don’t forget the potatoes! No ketchup needed IMO.

I had a wonderful experience at uncle Wolfie’s. The service was impeccable and backed up by very unique and wonderfully prepared dishes. I have been wanting to visit this place for a while. It is in the neighborhood that I used to spend a lot of time in in Milwaukee. I had the eggs Benedict and it was prepared with a very unique bread I recommend it. I cannot wait to get back and try other items on the menu.

Uncle Wolfie’s never disappoints! Be prepared for a long wait (usually around an hour for 2 on a weekend), but it is totally worth it. Service is friendly, vibes are relaxed & I don’t believe there is a bad item on their menu. Pictured are the pannise benedict & brunch burger.

Uncle Wolfie’s is an unbelievably great breakfast/lunch spot! I have eaten here twice and both were wonderful experiences. My first visit a year prior in 2024, I was even lucky enough to be served by the owner himself, Wolf. I told him then and I’ll say it again here, this place is something special!

They have a very interesting menu with a clash between time-tested classics as well as incredibly unique, ultra-flavorful menu items. Their food rivals the quality and flavor profile of many Michelin Guide designated or James Beard awarded restaurants, without the frills (or price tag) of a true ‘fine-dining’ experience. The tavern potatoes are a MUST!

The kitchen staff and service team deserve a standing ovation. They’ve taken an unassuming breakfast joint and turned it into a place I want to return every time I visit Milwaukee. My server/bartender [Carson] was knowledgeable, kind, and had great recommendations for me, top notch service all around!

Photos [sorry for the mid-meal quality pics] feature their crispy chili-oil fish sandwich, tavern potatoes, and chocolate chip pancakes. Be warned, they are popular and you may need to wait or go early to get a table when you want it! Already looking forward to my next visit to Wolfie’s!
