If you want a unique sandwich and grill experience, Uncle Sam’s is a solid, good bet. It’s non-pretentious and casual. In fact, it will remind you of a classic diner, with countertop seating right at the grill/kitchen and seats arranged along the wall with several booths in the back. The food is cooked fresh, and having an option of a hot or cold sandwich is a bonus. Plus, there are great fries and side dishes. It may take several minutes to get your food, but at least you know it’s being prepared made-to-order. Ultimately, Uncle Sam’s is a refreshing local establishment unlike the usual chain sandwich shops.

Had a Ultra Philly cheese steak. Supposed to have extra meat. There wasn’t hardly any meat . Total disappointment. I’ve had Uncle Sam’s at other locations and there was plenty of steak. I won’t ever go to that location again. I also don’t recommend it. Try one of the other locations and see the difference

Best value for awesome cheesesteaks. Bread is soft and fresh. Flavor is wonderful. The French fries remind me of McDonalds in the 90’s, except slightly better. Crispy and perfect every time. These guys are super consistent.

Hands down the best hoagie I’ve ever had and I’m very picky when it comes to steak hoagies. I ordered inside yesterday and my to go order was done in a prompt time. The bread is so soft and the steak was cooked well and seasoned. I put my other half in the air fryer this afternoon and it was still good. Highly recommend!

This is one sandwich shop you can always count on! It doesn’t matter if you want the best Cheesesteak in Pittsburgh or a fantastic Italian, this is the spot! Yes there are plenty of places around Pittsburgh that have great hoagies, but not many in the Robinson Twp area. They also have fantastic fries and I don’t even like fries lol.
Only reason this isn’t a weekly stop for me is my one kid won’t eat anything. No sandwiches. But he has no problem eating from that nasty place that starts with Mc——— haha…. However I finally convinced him to try an Italian from here and now Italians sandwiches are one of his favorites… That says something if you can turn a sandwich hater into a sandwich lover!

Went here today for lunch. Sat in. I liked it. I’m from Philly and it’s hard to find good cheesesteaks specifically but their sandwiches are good. Bread was even hot and fresh like everything else. They bought the food out to me. I loved that, I felt like a princess LOL!! I will definitely come back. The only thing I could of did without was the lettuce, it looked and smelled fresh but it tasted like it wasn’t washed off throughly. Still good, still recommend and will still be back though!!
