Went there to try their taco special. The lady working the window asked in advance if understood that the tacos only consisted of steak, onions, and cilantro. I appreciate that she set expectations. She also was very friendly and polite. I was served almost instantly. I used my card so there was a service fee. That was not explained to me in advance but I went along with it. The tacos were exceptionally greasy, had a good amount of filling but lacked any flavor beyond that of overripe onions. I was deeply disappointed. See pictures & video. EDIT: For some reason the video doesn’t play. Because of this I took the last two pictures where you can see the opened tacos and greasy bag. They appear better presenting in the pictures as the tortillas absorbed much of the grease. .

The hoagy isn’t bad it’s like a 6/10 let me say why ……they give you diced onion instead of sliced onion and the bread is entirely too thick, I don’t like the bread much . These 2 simple changes could make this sandwich a 10/10
Slice onions thin , hit it with the oil
And simply change the bread
ALSO CUT IN HALF I HAD TO CUT MY OWN

USE MEAT SLICER TO GET THOSE THIN SLICED ONIONS , I USE TO MAKE AUTHENTIC FIRST ERA HOAGIES BUT THIS SANDWICH HAS SOOOOO MUCH POTENTIAL AND GIVE OPTION FOR TURKEY HOAGY

I went to visit n patronize because of the black foodie-couple who visits and rate(s) varies of diff. food establishments.
This restaurant 17200 S. Torrence was not very appealing had a very small waiting area. Just enough space w/ counters and to keep you outta the outside environment.
I purchased a steak hoagie(for my sis.) and turkey lunch meat hoagie(for myself). I asked for sweet peppers on the last sandwich. My turkey sub. Sand. was presented to me w/ yell. banana peppers. Which upset me greatly. Because i always go into great many details of HOW I WANTED MY FOOD. Before home i Always look at food before i go home. The cashier told me they were outta the sweet peppers however the steak sand. had them on it?? Overall they took the turkey sandwich back and re-doctored it up. After,My experience that i had i shall NOT franchise W/ them again and advise others don’t go there. Some customers that day claim they come for the wings special

The chicken is fried great. Excellent recovery after reheating in an oven. The mild sauce is delicious and I order a lemonade or Obama tea with my orders. They take their time with your order if they are reimbursing you for making the food wrong. The people working there dont ask how you want your food served. They don’t season the food or apply sauce on the food when it clearly advertises Saucy Fried Chicken.

I love the freshness and cleanliness of the place. The Italian beefs are awesome! The polishes, nachos, tacos and burgers. Everything!!! They also sell Italian ice and shakes!
I just been told they have another location on 183rd country club hills. They’re just as good!! Check out either place for a great polish, hot dog, burger, or Italian beef!! Never disappoint

Food was delicious and made on a timely basis. The sweet steak 2 for 1 before 2pm was out of this world. The 10 wings for $9.99 were excellent, and not those little wings a lot of other places sell. The place is somewhere you should check out.

No, no, no! Stop the cap folks! First of all, I was deceived into believing this was a Black owned business. Black folks don’t even work there. I give credit where credit is due the steak sandwich was on point the first time. I got a steak sandwich yesterday and the taste and quality was all the way off. Let’s just say I won’t be going back. You have been warned!

I believe that Black foodied bloggers receive compensation from certain restaurants, even though these places are not typically Black-owned and often serve subpar food with poor customer service.

It’s disappointing to have high expectations based on their recommendations, only to find that the food is terrible when I visit.

I feel let down byblack foodies bloggers for promoting this establishment. I would give it zero stars.
