If you haven’t checked out the new Uncle Pete’s (formerly Brewster Inn & Chowder House), stop what you’re doing and get there—like now. It’s still got that laid-back Cape charm we all loved, but with a serious upgrade in flavor, vibe, and drinks that hit hard in the best way.

Let’s talk food: the tuna nachos are straight-up addictive—crispy wontons, super fresh tuna, and just the right kick. It’s the kind of thing you order “for the table” but end up guarding like a dragon. The stuffed quahog is classic but with that Uncle Pete’s twist—savory, just the right amount of spice, and big on flavor.

The mushroom beignets? Total sleeper hit. Light, crispy, and earthy—like if New Orleans and Cape Cod had a delicious little baby. And the salmon is next-level—perfectly cooked, super fresh, and plated like it belongs in a downtown Boston spot.

But real talk: the strawberry margarita is worth the trip alone. Fresh, not too sweet, and dangerously easy to sip. The whole cocktail list is strong, but that marg is the move on a sunny afternoon.

Whether you’re a local or back in town for the summer, Uncle Pete’s is the new go-to. Same great location, whole new energy—and honestly? It might be the best thing to happen to Brewster this year.

Excellent food, great service. The clam chowder and chicken corn chowder were both delicious. The entrees were fresh, flavorful and generous without being sloppy. Very busy Friday night, but attentive service and busy, vibrant atmosphere. We would come back!

We had a lovely meal in this comfortable setting. Baked stuffed shrimp and the crab cake sandwich were delicious. We split the just sweet enough cannolis. A perfect ending.

The food here is amazing. Best bowl of chicken corn chowder I ever had. And the Vodka chicken was to die for. All 3 people in the party that had the baked stuffed shrimp were beyond pleased. They did a great job with the food allergies for those in our party that had them. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure!

Excellent food and service. The chef has done a great job in crafting these dishes. The mushrooms beignet and striper special were on point. Our server Ashley took great care to make our experience memorable. Thank you!

My wife and I ate at Uncle Pete’s on a cold Sunday night while the Patriots were playing. So when we got there, it wasn’t very busy. However the service was great, food was wonderful (Salmon dish and a Bolognaise dish with Oysters Rockefeller appetizers) and prices very reasonable compared to fancier restaurants. Our server was very helpful and offered dish modifications based on our preferences. We enjoyed this reincarnation of the restaurant in the summer and it’s even better now!

Uncle Pete’s was top notch across the board! We had the Buffalo Brussels, Mushroom Beignets and Fried Oysters for apps and they were all incredible. For the main course the Scallops and Bacon was out of this world. Chef Matt really knows what he is doing!

This time around this place gets A+. Food amazing we came 4 times. Tried most things on the menu. The tuna, oysters and the lobster was the highlights. Definitely coming back. Heard place was recently remodeled. Staff friendly and helpful.

Honestly, the 4.7 must be friends ramping up the reviews. There is absolutely no way. First, the service, zero stars. The ladies in the front are delightful, so thank you. The wait staff must be under-staffed — is all I can say nicely. We sat for 10 minutes, ignored. I decided to see if there was a spot in the bar, which got the attention of the kind ladies in the front. Finally our waitress acknowledged us. So here is the thing, the people sitting next to us said this happens there. Uhmmmmm, unacceptable.
The food is mediocre. The clam chowder was better in Provincetown at the touristy restaurant. Everything was forgettable. I really wanted to like this place. One plus, Oysters Rockefeller, so there’s that.
