I’ve been here numerous times with my family but something has changed here in a horrible way usually I feel bad giving a 1 star but this restaurant just straight up deserved it. The chicken and steak were tasteless & my Dog probably could’ve made a better meal. The overall energy just feels like a scam for employees before customers= no service, eat with plastic utensils and enjoy our leftovers heated up in the microwave with the only thing being fresh our employees attitudes. HORRIBLE ! I’m Peruvian and this is not a fair representation of our culture’s food.

I have come here in the past and since then this place is not the same. The atmosphere almost feels like a take out place. Have to order at the counter no waiters. They do allow you to eat there but served in take out tins. no signs of only being a take out spot. The girls attitude are not pleasant. Never coming back to this place. Just felt very weird dosent feel like a happy place to eat.

I have not been here in a while, so I ordered the Churroasco and some empanadas. Beef came out cold with lukewarm sauce on it. I can tell that it was not fresh – strange odor and taste. Empanadas were not what I remembered them to be, however the green sauce was still the same. Did something change here at this restaurant? It used to be pretty good and now I am just disappointed.

This place came highly recommended to me. The 1st time wasn’t too bad. But the 2nd time was atrocious. Needless to say. I will not be coming back. I don’t know if they changed management or the chef was off that day. But everything was dry even the los saltados. My husband refused to eat it and I suffered it down. I don’t know what happened to them.

For the last 4-5 years, my family and I often order out from Uncle Paulie’s because their food is good and they usually give a good amount specially when ordering arroz chaufa but I must say within the last few orders we’ve been a bit disappointed. They are skimping on the rice and the chicken are smaller. If they continue like that, I’m a have to look for another Peruvian spot. I’m hoping they read this and take it into consideration!

Uncle Paulie’s would get 5 stars for the price and food if it were only okay, but instead they insist on being categorically excellent. Every dish was executed so well, and meals here are priced so that this place can be a weeknight dinner spot with the quality of a special occasion meal.

I have been to this restaurant several times, especially before covid and was satisfied. Looks like ever since they have changed their attitude towards customers. Last time my mother and I ordered seco de pollo. That Peruvian dish is supposed to come with CILANTRO which is green. They made sure I paid before I got to even open up the container. After we sat down we realized it was not green, no cilantro. We complained to a woman at the front. Either a manager or owner and she had nothing to say. No apology, nothing. If I would have known they had run out of cilantro we would have ordered something else. K verguenza. Will not be going back again and will go to the restaurants in Paterson and Passaic instead.
