The parking lot was packed, which was a good sign this may be the spot! I ordered the 4 piece hot wings with Mac/cheese. My wings were absolutely delicious. However, less than fifteen minutes of waiting someone breaks into a tourist car and steals her bag with her passport and everything in it. I saw the whole thing and alerted the patrons because I was sitting by the window. The area is not inviting for people who want to support. People started asking for to go containers. I didn’t like the Mac and cheese too sweet. I don’t believe Mac and cheese should be sweet.

One of the best fried chicken in the Memphis area. Affordable and the staff are very friendly. Get it hot, and the chicken will be tossed in their sweet spicy love. Mac and cheese and biscuits are great here as well.

Uncle Lous was hands down the BEST fried chicken we have ever eaten. Everything we tried was wonderful and Uncle Lou himself stopped by to introduce himself and take a photo with the kids. The sweet spicy love is “bussin” per my 12 year old son and I would have to agree. This will certainly be a regular stop on our way through Memphis in the ffuture.

Was told I needed to try Uncle Lou’s since I like Gus’s. Order my same breast and wing with fries and biscuit. Asked if I wanted mild, hot and something else I couldn’t make out, so I went with hot. I was very surprised that the hot wasn’t over powering and really just added to the flavor. There looks like a dry rub and fried on the chicken unlike a batter at the other place. I really enjoyed Lou’s chicken as it was very juicy and flavorful. Making my choice for chicken now hard to pick.

OMGEE!!! We love this place so much! The chicken is the BEST and these sides! Potato salad…mac and cheese…and strawberry shortcake to share for dessert. Not to mention we’re star struck with Uncle Lou himself! Such a great guy! As Guy Fieri put it in 2008, if you live with in 300 miles of this place, you should walk here.

The chess pie was my favorite or at least a piece that I had. That was my first time trying so great job! The wings were crispy and hot but what stood out was a sauce. They were my wings but the sauce remind me of a spicy and sweet texture and taste. Im not sure what they put in the sauce but it was really good. My hubby Chess pie was not so good tho lol. It wasn’t a long line and we were in and out. Next time I will try a burger. I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese. It had too much pepper in it and tastes like pepper when you ate it. The biscuit they gave was really sweet. It has some type of honey in it or sweet sauce that made it perfect and soft.

First time trying uncle Lou and I can say it was pretty tasty. The chicken was good and the Mac n chz was good also. I had the 4piece meal and the chess pie was okay. Will definitely will be going again to try something else
