They should start calling this place Unc Lio’s like the sign outside. Bar tender was awesome and it appeared that she was working alone. She killed it that’s why we checked 5 star’s.
Food was good but not the quality that it was when they 1st opened. Not sure if it’s goes for all the location’s or just Lombard.

Great visit! Had not been able to visit in a long time. The chips/salsa as starters were great. Then we had the tableside guacamole-excellent. The actual dinner was great, the tamales and tacos were great. The drinks, the frozen margarita trio was outstanding.

We visited Uncle Julio’s at 9pm on a Friday. The restaurant was nearly empty, and happy hour was bar-only, which required us to order inside to sit outside. My cousin ordered four Amaretto Stone Sours, which we believed were included in happy hour pricing, but they were not. When I politely asked our server, Abdulla, if anything could be done, he kindly checked with the manager, Val.
Unfortunately, Val came out with little enthusiasm and immediately dismissed the concern. While I understood the drinks technically weren’t part of happy hour, there was no effort to provide alternatives, show understanding, or attempt to make the experience more positive. She simply walked away, leaving a poor impression of management and customer care.
Abdulla, however, was outstanding. He apologized for her demeanor and went out of his way to provide a small gift card with our bill. His professionalism and courtesy were very much a contrast to Val’s lack of effort.

Great staff and even better food! Tried the chicken quesadillas and beef fajitas—both were delicious. Definitely recommend if you’re craving a good Tex-Mex spot.

Went to Uncle Julio’s in Oakbrook, IL this weekend. We were greeted and seated right away. When we got to our table, a gentleman named Kyle introduced himself and let us know that our server, Ramone, would be with us shortly. Soon after, Ramone approached our table to take our order. He was kind, funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. During our meal I noticed how busy Kyle kept himself by running about, helping the other servers out, and greeting customers. He even went back to our table, and asked if there was anything else we needed. Maybe it’s not a big deal to some people, but to me this man left a very good impression, and worked hard at his job. I don’t even think that Kyle was actually working as a server, but more in a management capacity. How awesome is that!?! I don’t know who it was that can take credit for hiring these two men, but kudos to them for doing so! These men can teach others a thing or two about making customer’s experiences a positive one, while in their establishment. For me this experience was definitely 5 out of 5 stars and I will be going back, not only for the tasty food, but also the pleasant experience. Thanks for taking the time to read this review!

We had a great experience at Uncle Julio’s tonight. Kyle and his staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even with how busy the restaurant was. You could tell the team was working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of, and it really showed. The food was also very good and came out in a timely manner despite the crowd. Overall, excellent service and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Try their salmon they use a delicious sauce to pair it! Our server Kristina was very friendly and fast. Chips and salsa and drinks were refilled without having to ask. Also seen the manager running around helping the staff which I do not see at most places. Will be returning again! Great food/drinks/attentive employees!!!

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food was incredibly authentic and had amazing flavor. We had tacos, fajitas, and quesadillas. Caesar, our waiter, was a true gem. He was attentive, friendly, and really knew the menu inside and out. He made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

My overall experience with Ramon at Uncle Julio’s was excellent. Ramon was attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. He checked in at all the right times, made great menu recommendations, and ensured everything came out exactly as requested. His positive attitude and genuine care truly elevated our dining experience. Because of Ramon’s service, our visit was memorable and enjoyable—I’d absolutely ask for him again and highly recommend him to others.
