Had an amazing time trying out uncle Julios and man was it great. I dont usually write reviews but I’ve been to other locations and by far from my experiences this was the best. My friend brought me to try the fresh guacamole and the gentleman pepe was phenomenal and a delight to meet. He has been here 11 years and was just so friendly and made the guacamole in front of us and was very friendly. Very clean, great food and our waitress Janet was very pleasant! Highly recommend the food and this location. I will definitely be back to see pepe, very funny and friendly personalities from him and the whole staff. 5 stars

Went with my family for my daugther birthday celebration ,The waiter Jeffrey was very sweet, he checked on us often to make sure we were doing all right. People say this Mexican Food is delicious ,Tacos ,Enchiladas but we order ,Quesa Birrias ,Fajitas steak,2 C arnes Asadas with rice and Beans and Guacamole ,Ribs and combo fajitas steak and chicken,Cochinita Pibil plate with rice and beans ,drinks coke,Frozen Rita Flight,Modelo Especial ,Gimme The Skinny ,Everything was excellent ,We enjoy a lot Definitely we will be back,Thank you so much for make my all family special .

This is my first time being here and it was just okay. I’ve had better food. The shrimp I got was wrapped in 2 things of bacon, the bacon closest to the shrimp was raw.. but the outer bacon was cooked. Biting into the shrimp was difficult, tasted like the freezer. The steak was tough as well. I’m ashamed, I saved my appetite for this dinner.
Our server was really nice though! (Not trying to be nasty this is just my honest opinion)

Yesterday my cousin and I had an amazing dining experience here. First off our waitress Mari (sorry I dont know how to spell your full name) who just started 2 weeks ago was amazing and very helpful. She gave us a great experience. Pepe came through with the guacamole cart and it was the best gauc of my life. He was a great host and gave us suggestions on what to order. We love him for that because the food was a 10 out 10. All the appetizers and meals were great, but my cousin and I had a surprise that blew our mind. First the drink El Jefe, which we get often here was delicious. but yall the Mexican butter Mari brought out to us was the best butter we ever had. We ordered more because it was that good. We were told the drink and butter was a secret so we can’t know how to make it , we get it. We both had bacon wrapped shrimp, birria I think quesadillas, chips and salsa, guacamole made fresh in front of us by the amazing Pepe, 2 orders of the chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas that came with that amazing Mexican butter sauce, and I would recommend if you like tequila 1000% try the El Jefe (your only allowed to order 2 of these). I flagged down the manager who was working hard delivering food to the table near by because I had to tell him how amazing everything was. We’ve been coming here for years and yesterday was a different experience because of the wait staff and shot out to the cooks. I told my cousin I want to have my birthday dinner here so people can come and enjoy this food. I think everyone who loves Mexican food should try this place out. I don’t normally leave reviews so for me to do this is to show my appreciation and to say thank you, keep up the great work!

What happened? I should have known that things changed when the parking lot was empty on a Friday night.
No more swirl. The queso dip that I used to love—-different recipe and not as good. No more ordering a simple taco. Some folks (like myself) don’t want peppers, etc in my taco – I don’t do spice. I was forced to get the quesadillas and they weren’t good at all. My son got the steak tacos and he said it was cold and not good. Lost your liquor license????
Please, don’t pass off the old Uncle Julio’s menu—and make it your own if it’s not the same quality.
The service was fantastic. Our waiter (a young man) was very attentive….but it didn’t make up for the quality of the food.

I was very disappointed and the food at uncle Julio‘s. I was a customer on Valentine’s Day Hair reservations when I get there the reservation I was not seated at my appropriate time. The reservation was for 8 o’clock. I didn’t get to my table to almost 845. I have not been to uncle Julio‘s in such a long time and I thought it was a good way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my husband because that was our first date restaurant. So now that we are married, I I wanted to go back down memory lane at what used to be my favorite restaurant.
I was so disappointed in the food quality the menu. The options are terrible ever since they have been brought out by another company. The food is not as good as it used to be. I used to be a faithful every Sunday at the church Uncle, Julio Go’er. And I know exactly how the original food was. What they gave me was nothing more than I could have gotten at Applebee’s or Chili’s. I was totally disappointed the chicken and shrimp the cheese queso sauce all very disappointing and to top Off once the waiter finally took my order. I was told that they Were out of their signature swirl drink. I should’ve got up and left then but I figured I’ll just order a margarita because I was excited to eat at uncle Julio‘s only to be disappointed the whole Valentine’s Day they should be ashamed of their self for this menu, it is not authentic and they need to rebrand and get better quality food and better quality menu until then I will never be back.

The service was awesome, waiter was really nice and the hostess was kind. The service was fast but all of the food was cold. The cheese wasn’t even melted on the enchiladas. I do think the flavors of everything were good but you can serve cold food. I didn’t make a fuss because the server was so nice but maybe the cooks should take their time so the food is nice and hot.

We celebrated my son’s 16th birthday dinner at Uncle Julio’s, and everything was superb. Our waitress, Vivian, was amazing . The food was great; we had an amazing dinner. The hostess was super nice, and the manager was awesome as well. Oh, I can’t forget to brag about how good the margarita flights were. Thank you to Uncle Julio’s for making my son’s birthday dinner special!

Personally, I thought the food was way overpriced for what I was paying for. A lot of it seemed salty and the fajitas you barely got any meat as it was all steamed vegetables.
I did some research about the company and they got bought out by a holding company which is basically private equity in disguise and that’s never a good thing. Usually private equity cuts costs so I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled some bs by giving workers more work while lowering their pay. Its funny because I heard though a friend of friend that they actually did this at this company.
I thought the food was mediocre for what you’re paying for and with the company being taken over that’s never a good sign. I think it’s highly unethical to hurt workers for more profit, but that’s all America is now. They don’t care which is why another location closed in Illinois up north.
All in all, the food was not good for what you’re paying for. I feel for the workers as that’s insane that minimum wage is bad enough and to kick a person while they’re already down is sad in regards to money. I did appreciate the staff though for still trying in factors against them.

While the food was enjoyable, the service was unusual. Our waitress was very impersonal and rigid in her approach, which made the experience feel uncomfortable at times. At one point, instead of refilling my water, she removed my friend’s glass and told me to drink hers, which felt strange and unnecessary. It may have been intended as efficiency, but it came across as unwelcoming. With warmer, more attentive service, this would have been a much better experience.
