My daughter and I had lunch here recently. It was the first time I had eaten here. We actually had planned on going somewhere else but the other place looked extremely busy. I really wanted tacos and this place was nearby so I thought I would try it. They were not very busy and we were seated immediately. Our server greeted us right away and brought us chips and salsa and our drinks very quickly. My daughter ordered the steak quasadilla and I ordered the barbacoa tacos. The quesadilla was $18.50 but didn’t come with anything. My tacos came with a choice of beans (I chose black beans) and rice. We each had a coke. The service and food was excellent. It was more than I had intended on spending for lunch ($60 with top) especially considering it was basically 1 appetizer, 1 meal and 2 cokes. I most likely wouldn’t go here again, only due to the price since there are so many other places around.

Overall, decent Tex-Mex food. My friend and I ordered fajitas; steak and shrimp, there is complimentary chips and salsa, and we ordered some queso on the side. Pretty good portion size, service was good and the place is nicely decorated showcasing some modern interior with a splash of Mexican culture. Overall, pretty good experience. Great for small or large groups. I would come back and try some more dishes. Till then, let’s eat!

I’ve visited Uncle Julio’s in Florida before and liked the food, though the service wasn’t great. Still, I decided to give this place a try for Mexican food.

I ordered the shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, and a chicken quesadilla.
• The chicken tacos were really good and flavorful.
• The shrimp tacos were okay, but if you’re Asian (or prefer shrimp fully cooked), make sure to clearly mention that while ordering.
• The chicken quesadilla tasted great overall, but some parts were slightly burnt, which was a bit disappointing.

Overall, the food had good flavor, but a little more attention to cooking consistency would have made the experience better.

The ambience is good and welcoming. They offer complimentary chips, which is a nice touch. The crispy chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas are a must-try—both are flavorful and well made. However, the fish tacos were not that tasty compared to the other options.

I redid my review and knocked it down to one star. This place is a JOKE. I ate at the bar and the bartender ( who had bad BO) was slow and lazy. I never got any chips or salsa and all around me there were dirty tables. Do they not have busboys ?

I didn’t get chips until my guacamole came and I told the waitress who brought them I didn’t have chips. Never got salsa. The chicken enchiladas were meh.

I was there almost an hour and a HALF. Just to pay my bill took 15 MINUTES! Is there anyone managing this restaurant!?

Ok food. Mia Cocina has my favorite fajitas so I decided to see if Uncle Julio’s was better. Overall, no. The meat was on the chewy side and the onions and peppers weren’t completely cooked. That said, I preferred Uncle Julio’s chips and salsa over Mia Cocina.

Lastly, Mia Cocina had much friendlier and attentive staff.

This was my first time here as I’m from out of state. I’ve heard great things so I was looking forward to the experience and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing as it came out fast and full of flavor. At most Mexican establishments, the salsa seems to be an after thought but not here. I have to say that the salsa here is phenomenal! I could have made a meal out of that alone!

Since it was limited edition, I ordered a Watermelon Margarita and it was THE best Margarita I’ve had. It was flavorful, balanced, and extremely smooth. I highly recommend coming here.

I was so exited for my meal from Uncle Julios! That excitement did not survive the drive home.
When I opened the bag, I discovered I had paid $15 for two miniature tamales. Not tapas. Not a sampler. Just two tiny tamales living their best minimalist life. The meal was also supposed to come with beans and rice, but the beans apparently called in sick. Rice showed up alone.
Pickup was equally impressive. The instructions said to go to the host stand, which I did. I then stood there long enough to reconsider several life choices. The phone started ringing so then the host finally appeared. He saw me and chose the phone. Lesson learned. If you want service here, call while staring directly at an employee.
Right as I was about to leave, I checked the bag and realized an entire second meal was missing. I skipped the waiting, went straight to the kitchen where the missing meal was quickly thrown together like a last-minute science project. Credit where it’s due, but at that point the bar was underground.
Based on my experience and the recent reviews, this location is clearly in a downward spiral. Management seems either overwhelmed, absent, or actively avoiding eye contact.
Do yourself a favor and drive a few minutes down the road to Hacienda Ranch. They are always ready, always smiling, and always capable of handing you the food you actually ordered. Delicious food. No scavenger hunt required.

Also- I already filled out a review in response to an email they sent me after my order. I told them about My disappointment and their response was basically sorry we gave you so little food but hopefully the three bites you got were delicious. Hope you come again soon to give us more of your money. Have a good day.

The carne asada was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with a great char that brought out the flavor of the meat. The grilled peppers and onions were fresh and well-cooked, adding the right balance without overpowering the steak. The frijoles charros were rich and flavorful, clearly slow-cooked with care. Overall, a satisfying, well-prepared dish that felt hearty without being heavy

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The entrees I’ve ordered have been good; however, when I’ve ordered side items, they have been disappointing. My last order was take out and I ordered chicken quesadillas, a small queso and an order of rice. The quesadillas were “okay”, but not as flavorful as usual. The rice was completely bland without any seasoning, and the $9 small queso was a rip-off. The container was not even an inch deep, it wasn’t filled and the dip was bland. If I return, it will be dine in only and I will not order any extra sides.

The Carnita tacos were dry. Enchiladas Rojas had a peculiar taste not sure what kind of meat it was made of, and the quesarollas were made with flour tortillas when corn tortillas were requested. No one finished their plates. Chips, salsa and beverages were good.
We were here to celebrate my sisters birthday, I feel bad that no one enjoyed their meal 9
