I have been here before, but it’s been a few years. My sister and I came here for lunch today. Our server was being trained her and her trainer were the most down to people. We also had a really Quick and attentive waitress she kept our drinks refilled, etc. The food was very good. This is one of the Few Mexican food, restaurants that I will go to anymore as most of them has gone downhill on Food quality. We can’t wait to come back. Love the fire roasted salsa.

First time at Uncle Julio’s today on Saturday the 31st of January, and we made a reservation, but it took one hour to get our food for 8 people. We did get alot of refilled drinks and salsa and chips, but we were so over it. The food was hot and some plates were cold as if waiting for the other plates to be ready to take out to the us. We talked to our neighbors at the other table and had asked how there food was, since we arrived almost the same time. They were celebrating a birthday and they also received their food one hour later. They also got asked to leave that they told them by an old man that they had 10 minutes to clear out, since they had already paid their receipt.
So, they make you wait an hour for food then once you are done they basically ask you to leave. I asked one of the servers and she said it’s because they have reservations for other patrons. But I told her we and another party had waited one whole hour for our food. She said she was sorry, but couldn’t do anything about the other customers being asked to leave . Not because they were rude, but because they needed the table, and they hadn’t finished up all their cake.
If this is how they conduct business then I will definitely not be coming back with our friends and family.

The food is bad, the service is good. I came by when it first opened and I didn’t like it, but I figured after so many years I should stop by and try it again. The portions are tiny, and the prices are high. The queso was 9 dollars and its the size of a side of guacamole. When the food got there, the meat was burned, and it made every taco I made, taste bitter. If you want Mexican food, go to mi cocina across the highway, the prices are the same but at least it has more edible food.

Last 2 visits to this location were terrible. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and were asked if we had a reservation. There was literally nobody in the restaurant and the wait was going to be at least a 45 minute. We left and went to Mi Concina across the street which was GREAT!! After a few months, we decided to try again. MASSIVE MISTAKE!! Waiter couldn’t get the orders correct. The drink orders came out wrong. Nachos were soggy by the time they made it to the table. We were left waiting for way too long for any kind of service whether it be salsa or just a drink refill. $17 for more like a 1/2 a bowl of queso?? Ordered the Chocolate Pinata… I think they put the entire pineapple in it with just a couple churros and strawberries. HUGE waste of $35. Went there for a celebration for our kids and left after the disaster. Will never visit this location again. They have absolutely fallen from grace for what used to be a good restaurant. Highly recommend staying away. Badly fallen out of favor. Thanks for ruining the celebration.

We had a large group for lunch today. Our waiter, James Flores, was exceptional. He was very attentive and made sure that our drinks never got low and that we never ran out of chips and salsa before our meals arrived. I can’t say enough about how well we were taken care of. He’s definitely a keeper. The food was really good and the piñata was icing on the cake. Thanks, Uncle Julio’s!

My apologies to anyone viewing this while eating. However, I feel like the public should be warned. This is the condition I found the urinal upon visiting the restroom at this establishment on 12/28/25. I know it’s a restroom, but a national chain should have higher standards than a mom and pop truck stop in the middle of nowhere. This level of filth and grime doesn’t happen in one day. This is the result of not having been cleaned in a substantial amount of time. It makes one wonder what else hasn’t recently been cleaned in this restaurant. We were seated on the patio. There was an old dirty towel sitting under one table and a dusty water bottle underneath another. On a side note, the service was subpar. The restaurant was mostly empty, yet it took forever to receive our food and the check when we were done. Today will certainly be my family’s last visit to Uncle Julio’s at Presidio Junction.

We visited this location while vacation, and we were delighted by the service and all around hospitality. Our server James F was phenomenal, he made sure to give us drink recommendations. He was also able to answer all of the questions we had regarding food selection, and drink choices. He was very attentive and kept checking in on us as we were one of the only parties seated outside on the terrace area. The next time we are in town visiting family, we will most definitely be visiting uncle Julio‘s again and would hope that Mr. James F is our server again. Ross to James F.
