Uncle John’s hosted our annual Christmas / Ugly sweater party, all i can say is that the staff was absolutely phenomenal. They catered to over 50 people without missing a beat. Restaurant was fully decorated and Food was amazing. Our Bartenders rocked, especially Kristen. We will be back next year!!. Thank you Saul for making our event memorable. Ricky and Kristen Victor are amazing! Kristen is top-notch behind the bar—her customer service is outstanding. She genuinely interacts with her customers, talks with them, and makes you feel welcome and right at home.
Ricky is absolutely dope on the grill. The food is to die for—the seasoning and texture will have you licking your fingers.

We came out from the city to purchase a car in the area and decided to stop by Uncle John’s Bar & Grill for dinner—wow. The arrachera steak plate was SO good. And when I say the charro beans and rice were the best I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant in the Chicago area, I mean it.
On top of that, with this cold weather, they bring out warm chips, homemade salsa, and even little cups of soup on the house—such a thoughtful touch. The service was amazing, the prices are very reasonable, and they offer weekly happy hours.
If you’re anywhere nearby and looking for a place to grab a drink, lunch, or dinner, I highly recommend it ✨ We actually went back two days in a row just for the steak plate and that warm salsa.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I ordered the steak fajitas, and they were sizzling, flavorful, and cooked perfectly—tender steak, fresh veggies, and great portion sizes. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned.
A special shoutout to Kristen at the bar—she was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better with great service and a welcoming vibe.

Went in for the SuperBowl. Had a great time, tacos were good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. Idk what tequila is used in the margaritas but it gave me an instant headache. I typically only get headaches off tequila if its super cheap, not accusing just suspicious is all. I dont think I will order the margaritas again just due to that, or maybe I can opt for another tequila.
Anyway, had a good time and will go again given the chance, bartenders were so nice.

First… have anything but the Ananchera steak beats any carne asada ANYWHERE. Chef Ricardo has his own special rub and the plate is so so authentic with grilled onion bulbs, jalapeño and cheese stuffed chili. It’s seriously cravable with fresh mad tortillas and charro beans. Service is great and the place and bathrooms are clean (weird addition but it shows that these guys know what they are doing). Trust me, get the plate or even a steak quesadilla and you will not be disappointed

Stopped by this Mexican spot to see Kristen and had such a good time! Wednesdays are a steal with half-off fajitas and $5 margaritas, and Saturdays during the day you can’t beat the $6 tortas. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were on point.
The atmosphere is lively but still easy to hang out and actually enjoy your meal. Great food, great deals, and even better company — definitely a go-to spot!

As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by the amazing staff!!! I felt welcomed and appreciated!!! The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were even better!!! Kristen was extremely attentive, and made sure all of my wants and needs were met!!! She truly made my evening, and my time spent at Uncle John’s Bar & Grill memorable!!! I can’t wait to return soon to try the Al Pastor Tacos and Burgers!!! Thanks Kristen, and the entire staff for everything!!! Countryside is extremely fortunate to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!!!
