We went in for lunch on a Sunday. We sat at the bar and our service was great. We ordered the BBQ Bacon burger and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Both were delicious! Asked for ranch on the side to dip my fries in but the ranch was unexpectedly spicy, it apparently has jalapeños in it. Sweet potato fries are on option but our server said the regular fries were delicious so we gave those a try… he was right, they were amazing! There was a large family there while we were dining, a party of 20, and yet the restaurant didn’t seem cramped or too loud. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. We plan to return!

A very rare gem nestled amidst Johnstown. The town by itself is a very sweet and pleasant place. I’m a vegetarian and being a vegetarian is really hard in many places in this country( especially for warm food) . This place has a ton of options and the girl who was attending even customized the pizza to my needs . The ambiance is outstanding. My husband enjoys chicken and he went back again after we visited the first time. When we were there an old couple came in here dressed as Santa and his wife and it a cherry on top of the day. All in all a great place to hangout with any loved one anyday. “Great food great atmosphere”

Promising. They have some kinks to work out, which is to be expected, including some additional training of waitstaff. Overall, though, our experience was positive. I had the BBQ burger and got the onion rings on the side so my husband could eat those since I don’t like them. The burger was quite tasty! My husband said the onion rings were really good! But they were pretty large and he couldn’t imagine them being put on a burger. His cheesesteak he got was tasty and the bread was good, but could have been filled a little more. It was a lot of bread compared to cheesesteak filling. The fries were awful. The oil was old and the fries were old too. Tasted like fry oil and like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Beer was nice and cold.
Our server was very nice but clearly inexperienced and in need of more training. As we were sat at our table by the hostess, we didn’t even have our coats off yet before sitting down and the waitress came over and asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. Maybe let us sit down first and look at the menu. It was our first time eating here. She came back a few minutes later to ask for drink orders again. When I asked about the 2 seasonal rotations on draft, one of them she knew, the other she said, “yeah I’m not sure what the other one is.” But did not offer to go find out. Just stood there and looked at me. Came and asked us how our food tasted RIGHT after it was placed in front of us. We hadn’t touched it yet. Then brought us our check without asking if we wanted a refill or anything else. Definitely need to go over some basics of customer service with the waitstaff.

We tried Uncle Johnnie’s tonight and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They have four top tables and booths as well as seating for larger parties. The bar also has a good amount of seating. We didn’t have to wait but quickly all the tables were taken. They had a great turnaround time and we didn’t see anyone waiting to be seated while we were there. The menu offers burgers, chicken wings, salad, pizza and some entrees. We went with salads and bone in wings and boneless wings. My husband loved the wings tossed in hot. I thought the boneless were great. They were meaty and didn’t have heavy breading. They had a great flavor. I got mild sauce and garlic Parmesan dry rub. They had a great flavor. The Johnstown Jam was absolutely delicious. Bourbon, mixed berries and lemon. They have a decent beer selection too. Happy hour is weekdays from 3-6pm and is a great deal. Half off appetizers, $2 off wine, $6.99 house and classic cocktails and $3 domestic beers. There’s plenty of parking behind the building as well as free in street parking in front. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends.

The food is too good! We love the BBQ Burger & Chicken Sandwich. If you are a fries snob, you won’t be disappointed. The sweet potato waffle fries are on point. The Johnston Jam is a tasty beverage. Hayley was a great server full of suggestions on what to order. See ya’ next time Uncle Johnnie’s.

Came in for a school banquet for my son, they designated the second floor for the event.
This area was perfect for the event. It has a decent sized bar if that is required for your particular event and the service was good for a small crowd event I attended.
I noticed on a table top flyer that they offer karaoke on Friday nights at 7p which can always be a fun experience.
I ordered the Graffiti burger which is a two pattie smash burger, not bad at all.
Good atmosphere, good service.

We were excited to try this place out for lunch after seeing the 5 star reviews on Google but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Initially, we were greeted by a friendly bartender who promptly acknowledged our presence. However, things quickly went downhill from there.
We asked for coffee, but she said she needed to check if they made any. She never got back to us on it. In the meantime we saw someone at a table order coffee and promptly got it. This was a disappointing start, but it only got worse as we quickly realized she was an inexperienced bartender who seemed unfamiliar with basic cocktails. When I asked for a Bloody Mary, she admitted she’s never seen anyone else there make one so we asked for a mimosa instead. She clearly didn’t know what that was either and walked away for a while looking through a binder. When she came back she said that the restaurant only served beer and wine on Sundays, yet said she couldn’t make a mimosa, which doesn’t even contain hard liquor. We gave up and settled for plain soda water instead.
Hoping to salvage the experience, we ordered the Tavern Nachos, but even this dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was dry and cold, while the queso lacked flavor altogether. When we asked for the check, we were shocked to see we were each charged $2 for the soda water. Who charges for soda water?? This felt excessive and unfair, especially considering the lack of service provided.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. Despite the friendly demeanor of the bartender, the lack of basic service and subpar food left us with little desire to return.

First time at Uncle Johnnie’s this evening. I went in to pick up my take out order. Atmosphere seemed good for what it is. Place you can drink and grab food or go with your family to sit down and eat.
Staff was friendly. Really the only thing I can comment since I walked in paid and grabbed my food.
I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my husband or daughters food, but we ordered all burgers. Classic, BBQ burger and the kids burger. They are huge burgers. Too much for my husband you know it’s BIG. I wasnt expecting such a big patty for a smash burger. Good burgers though. We are glad to have somewhere close for wings and burgers. We also got the Johnnie rolls. Loved those and the homemade jalapeño ranch!
We will definitely be back for more food. We live 2 minutes away.
