This is a great little find in the small town of Amity, Oregon located on Highway 99W. The owner, Janell, has created a cozy spot with natural wood and peanut shells on the floor… her BBQ menu is terrific!!! The hard part is deciding what or order. We love the Brisket! But everything is excellent!

Hadn’t been here before or read any other reviews when we stopped for a quick sandwich. The smoker being tended out back was enough to make our mouths water when we got out of the truck. Cute, handcrafted log-style tables and chairs in a clean and bright atmosphere along with a friendly, attentive waitress gave us a great first impression. I had a smoked ham sandwich and my husband had smoked turkey. The meat was wonderful, just the right amount of bbq sauce and soft hoagies that tasted homemade – they were great sandwiches! We’ll be back for a dinner at some point because the pulled pork or ribs are probably just as good or better better than the sandwiches.

The best ever. Tender juicy and not over cooked. Good sized portions. Very friendly staff who care about you as much as quality BBQ. Unfortunately they are selling their business so get out there before it is gone.

Sorry to say this..but my hubby & I were SO disappointed…we read reviews that it was so good…but that was farthest from the truth. The brisket had NO flavor..the ribs were tough & no flavor also. The macaroni salad tasted like Resers…the green salad looked like the packaged kind you buy @ the grocery store. I’m not being rude..but it was all terrible….will NOT be going back.

Uncle Jack’s is a wonderful lunch alternative for those of us who actually work for our living.
Amity has a couple places for a quick lunch, but none with Uncle Jack’s combination of reasonable price, quick service, and non-greasy alternatives for those of us with stress issues. (they are also great for dinner but finding a good quick lunch is often most important to me)
They have a really tasting BBQ formula. Everything is fresh, they have an excellent BBQ sauce that doesn’t taste like catsup and you can get just the right amount of spice and sweetness.
They now have added a basic hamburger at a reasonable price. You get a thick meat patty and your choice of a traditional hamburger (lettuce, tomato, catsup, mustard) or a BBQ hamburger for under six bucks. It comes with chips and a pickle, you can add cheese if you wish.
It is not greasy, it is not full of water, the bun is not tough, it is just a really good flame grilled hamburger. They are getting a little hard to find in the modern world.
You can also call ahead and your food will be waiting for you. This is especially important because the geniuses who run the City Of Amity have pretty much eliminated parking for anything but a Smart Car.
(If you have a truck you usually have to put your flashers on and block traffic but you can be in and out pretty fast.)

Good food and reasonable prices. A small place with inside seating and parking on the side. Handicapped accessible.
The service was outstanding. Liked the open kitchen so you can see them preparing the meals. We will be back! Great stop after wine tasting.

Excellent pulled pork sandwich with chips. Small place but good food and good service. I’ll most definitely stood again. No dessert offerings.

Not bad, not great.
Anybody from the mid west will tell you this isn’t BBQ. For the price it is a decent meal but nothing to get excited about.
