Amazing sandwiches with the most flavor I’ve ever had. The bread is also amazing! Loved the burger and pastrami sandwiches (pictured). The potato salad was the best I’ve ever had. The previous time I came, I had the Italian and also great! The menu changes weekly but I’m sure everything is great!

My husband was insistent that we go to Uncle Funz after he had a sandwich there one time while working on the beach. I reluctantly agreed to make the 45 min drive for a “sandwich”.
Holy hell! Do not let the exterior fool you, this is a 5 star Michelin worthy “sandwich”!
We walked in, and Jen greeted us like family. We ordered the Baja crab and corn chowder, lemon dill shrimp dip, a roast beef and a smoked mahi sandwich. Sounds like a lot, especially since their sandwiches are HUGE, but everything was so light and delicious!
The shop is super duper cute inside, with cloth napkins and real flatware, no detail left un thought of…to include the nice TP in the bathroom 😉
Go for the food, stay for the service and the ambiance. This will not be my last sandwich from Uncle Funz!

Chef Zaf and his wife makes this the place to grab a great sandwich or salad. Tomato soup was also fantastic. Everything is super fresh and made to order, totally worth the trip.

Excellent food and service! With a constantly changing menu, they will keep you wanting to come back. We had one of each of their hearty and flavorful sandwiches. They had a great selection of wine and beer. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Come with an appetite, you will certainly leave full!

What a gem of a spot in St. Pete. I was visiting a friend and she recommended that we meet up at Uncle Funz. Best restaurant I ate it while visiting!
I really enjoyed the apple and brie sandwich that they had as part of their menu for the week. The husband and wife team were great – happy to answer my questions and tell me about their menu options. We hung out for a bit at the shop, and then they recommended another coffee spot down the road so that I could wake up for my ride back to Orlando. I can’t wait to come back to St. Pete for another visit!

Best of the beach (& all of st pete for that matter) for bites and refreshments, and if you’re lucky you’ll get seats to linger longer and make new friends! With a new menu posted every week you always know it’s fresh! Chef Zach is mad-creative and hostess of the mostest Jen is the absolute queen on hospitality. The most difficult thing about this place is deciding what to order~

So as to not bury the headline, the food here is some of the best in the Bay period! Nevermind its sandwiches and salads, the attention to delicious detail on each item puts them in the top 5% of Central FL restaurants IMO.
And with a new menu every Wednesday, you can’t complain about the same ole same ole. I’m still having dreams about that monstrous mortadella!!
Add to the mix the friendly & colorful owners plus a bitching soundtrack, and you’ve got an A+ here friends.
And happy to report as of Jan 2025, they’re alive & kicking following the devastation of 2024 hurricanes….so go to there now!
