Stopped by here since we were in the area for car maintenance. It reminds me of a waffle house just with a black version. The food and customer service were on point. Husbee had fried salmon and cheese grits and I had peach cobbler waffles with fried chicken. We order the fried tomatoes with the bacon and goat cheese. Everything was fresh and delicious. The waffle was like a fluffy cloud. Absolutely loved!!! The server was very real, warm and attentive. The parking lot is small but it was not packed when we went. They have so many other types of waffles and other entrees we would like to try. We will definitely go back.

We had a great Sunday brunch experience! We were seated immediately and the service was exceptional. The music and atmosphere set the perfect mood for the delicious food. The mac and cheese and steak were excellent, and the red velvet waffle was so good my husband ordered two. I ordered double cabbage instead of the sweet potato soufflé (just personal preference), and while it was a bit crunchy for me, my husband enjoyed it. The staff worked well together and our kids felt welcomed, which we appreciated. It’s a little pricier than chain brunch spots, but the quality and taste made it worth it.

Went here for the first time for my son’s birthday (family of 4) the food was great!! The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the Shrimp and Grits were delicious!!! I got the red velvet waffle is was delicious and one of my sons got the fruity pebble waffle.. Every bite of food was gone !!! We will definitely be back!!!

Uncle Butch’s Chicken and Waffles is my favorite go-to spot on Sundays. The owners are incredibly nice and always make you feel welcome. The service is excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing. One thing I really appreciate is how quickly the food comes out without sacrificing quality.

So let me start off by saying I did get to this establishment about an hour and a half before it was time for them to close and shut down for today so maybe I couldn’t get the overall experience that I wanted to but however the consistency and the flavor of the Grits were mediocre and I mean very mediocre I literally had to seasoning with salt and pepper. Cajun grits shouldn’t need salt and pepper since it has Cajun flavor and seasoning already the only thing good about the dish was the catfish and I really don’t even care for catfish like that but it was really decent and good. Now the service was on point the waitress always checked up on me and always made sure I was good so the service was on point they need to just do a better job when it comes to making their grits I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but I’m willing to give them another try sooner or later.

My girls and I decided to do a local brunch at an establishment we’ve haven’t been to before, so we chose Uncle Butch’s Chicken- N-Waffles. The atmosphere was nice, nice picture wall for photos (which we took) and service was overall pleasant. However, called ahead on a Friday and was told we could make a reservation for our 8 lady group, so we did. When arrived we had to wait because that was not the policy and apologized for being told so. Unfortunately, only 7 could attend, when seating was available they put us in the back next to the bathroom door and it was a bit tight. Thank goodness we were one woman down . We did get complimentary starters for the inconvenience.
Food:
Fried green tomatoes were soggy due to sauce that was on them with seafood, they should be crispy and tender. Should be an option to put sauce on the side.
The beignets were more like heavily powdered square donuts instead of a lightly powdered flaky pastry
The chicken was fried well, however too salty for me.
All waffles were delicious, no complaints
Seafood Omelette was delicious with biscuit Finished for dinner.
Prices were fairly decent- average $15-$20 depending on what you order.
Overall wherever we go, we are going to enjoy ourselves. Since they are similar to other establishments in the area, some things you just need to be on point!!
