When you walk into Uncle Bears you feel a great vibe and atmosphere. Has a local feel with plenty of TV screens to catch a game and a large bar area that looks great to spend some time watching your favorite AZ team. We went at lunch time on a Sunday and it was ok food. There wasn’t a lot of flavor and I didn’t get a choice of how I wanted my burger cooked. This isn’t there fault but the water was horrible, maybe they should invest in a filter system for the tap water they serve to get rid of the foul smell and taste.

Went on Saturday for a late date night with the hubby and dinner. Food was great highly recommended the queso as well as prime rib sliders. Drinks were really good, great atmosphere! Service was amazing. Our server Hannah was awesome she took great care of us, extremely attentive! Karaoke was happening when we showed up super fun!

Burgers and sides are tasty. Our server was very attentive. If you are a dog person, this is the place for you as they allow them in the patio and the interior is covered with dog pics.

The service was terrible. We sat at the bar. The bartender casually talked with a customer for 10 minutes before even greeting us. Then we ordered the queso, which was pretty good, just not spicy. We asked for jalapeños, and those came about 15 minutes later after having to ask again for them. I got one drink, and after it was empty for who knows how long, she finally asked if I wanted another drink. Of course I said no, and we left. Worst service I’ve had in quite a while.

The atmosphere was amazing. Service was good, but the food was just okay. We ordered the parm fries and they were cold, not warm, cold. When we got the rest of our food some were hot, some warm, and some cold. Nobody ordered a plate of food that should have been cold. I think they possibly had an off night, as we’ve heard great things about it. I’d try it again next time we visit and see if it’s any better.

We got here around 8 pm on Friday. The hostess was rude from the start. She gave me an attitude when I asked about changing to a different seat. It took such a long time to get anyone to come to our table. We ordered an appetizer and waited forever for it, but instead of it coming, our food came instead. Our server still brought our appetizer even though we canceled it because it came after our food. That was very nice of her to give it to us for free. The fish and chips tasted like it was something I could buy in the freezer section at a grocery store. Not good at all!

Great food and atmosphere. I was a bit taken back after we ordered strawberry lemonade for several of the guest and was not told until after the first drink that there was not free refills. So they all resorted to water. I feel regular lemonade could have been refilled.

Went here while visiting AZ and it wasl well enjoyed by all. Daughter couldn’t stop talking about her egg topped burger and begged every day to go back. We should have. Good in-house craft beer selection. Will head back again on next trip to my favorite state!

Uncle Bears was a nice place in a nice area, but I feel that most people, when looking for a gastropub style eatery, are expecting the food to be better than a dine-in burger chain. It was the opposite for me. I ordered a green chili burger with an egg fully cooked and it wasn’t great. It was okay. Certainly better than fast food. The bun was super soggy and the smashed burger was hanging outside of the bun that was overwhelmed by the diameter of the patty. So much was falling apart that I felt I was eating a protein style salad with my hands. The sweet potato fries were also okay. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. I’m hoping my experience with their food isn’t indicative of their overall menu and YMMV.
