The Good:
The ambience of the restaurant is actually quite nice. It has a good vibe and the decor sets a great stage for a night out, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the surroundings.

The Bad:
We came in with a party of 10 for the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option, and the service was incredibly lackluster. Managing a large table requires a bit of attention, but our waitress never cleared a single plate throughout the meal. We were left sitting with stacks of empty dishes and clutter the entire time.

Beyond the clearing of the table, we constantly had to seek out our waitress just to get basic service or order the next round. You shouldn’t have to hunt down your server every 15 minutes.

The Food:
The food quality was mediocre at best. Nothing stood out as particularly fresh or well-prepared, which made the terrible customer service even harder to overlook. Between the subpar food and the feeling of being ignored, it was a disappointing visit. The picture is of combination lomein, looks hurt, dry, barely any meat, it’s supposed to be combination looks like ground beef.

A large variety of menu options for All You Can Eat. The raw fish roll options are pretty good and they are generous with the sashimi and nigiri.

However, the standout was the SERVICE oh my goodness. Our servers at the bar were EXCEPTIONAL. I don’t know how they do it, making drinks and also handling the frequent and varied requests from the AYCE menu for those of us eating at the bar.
It’s better than the other places where you’re waiting forever for the next round. Friendly staff, we were greeted and treated. And this is despite that every single table was full, there was a wait list, and a line out the door. That right there should tell you, this place is great.

Looking forward to going back.

Umiya has an All You Can Eat Japanese!! This is amazing because you can try so many different dishes off the menu for one total price! The Salmon Tataki is a favourite! The food is good and quick, the service is efficient, and the atmosphere is ok – very typical bar/diner style with TV screens, bathrooms are slightly unclean. We come here regularly for lunch with the family!

This was a great buffet compromise for my family. I can eat a fraction of what my dad does, so I don’t get my money’s worth at a buffet. My dad was able to do all you can eat, while I ordered a lunch box from the lunch menu. We both got full at a price appropriate for our appetite. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. The lunch boxes offer a great variety. I also appreciate that the lunch menu extends into 3:30 on a Saturday. Not many restaurants offer lunch menus on weekends.

Edited: came here last week. Order Umiya naruto, which is on the new menu also for AYCE. But when it came out, it is totally different from the image. Then my waitress said it mistake and also the right one is not for ayce menu. It’s alright but hope next time they can fix it. The most disappointing this time is the quality of the food. I love Umiya because of bake mussel and salmon tataki. But this time the mussels are small and not fresh. The salmon cut is so tiny and thin. I don’t know should I come back or not.
Best AYCE sushi ( both location ). If you want sushi, sashimi and other Japanese food, you can’t go wrong with this restaurant. They even have new menu ( 3 new items are not available today but it’s ok, I definitely back to try them ). Must order bake mussels, they are so good. I also order massago to put them on top of most thing. Staffs are always nice, friendly and attentive.

We chose this place on a whim and I must say, I’m happy we did. The greeting entering the restaurant as well as the cleanliness was what caught my attention. Everyone was so nice and our server, Mia was such a gem! She was very helpful and attentive. We never had to ask for anything but she also gave us space to enjoy ourselves. Kudos!

The food was fresh too and you can tell it was made to order. This place is definitely on the list to come anytime we’re craving sushi!

I only gave three stars because of the scary experience I had, the staff and the manager were All very kind and apologetic. The atmosphere was beautiful. It seemed like a great place and the taste of the food was good Until I almost choked. In the photo, you’ll see the long piece of plastic wrap that was rolled into my sushi roll, I’m only posting this to make people aware to be careful because mishaps happen in kitchens. I literally had to pull this out of my throat, mid swallow. One of the scariest moments of my life mind you while alone in my hotel room and I didn’t know what I was gonna do if I couldn’t get it out.

It was my 1st time here and I was not impressed. I know the sushi is made to order but the fish didn’t taste fresh. I was too nervous to order anymore sushi. I ordered their crab rangoon’s and the gyoza which tasted good. My husband ordered hibachi steak medium rare and got medium instead. The steak was chewy. Overall I would rate this place a 4/10 ⭐️. I will not be coming back here.

My first time eating at this restaurant and I was completely impressed with the quality of food and service…. It’s not common for me to give a place full star reviews, but I think I have found my go to restaurant for sushi.
The food was excellent and the rice was fresh. Usually I need extra sauce for my sushi but not here. Everything was delicious and balanced with flavor.
I highly recommend the Lexington Roll.
The staff were very attentive without disrupting our privacy.
Hands down the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to.
