Sushi was great. Tried two cocktails and they were just off overall. Every other item we tried other than sushi was all disappointing. If you order a teriyaki steak or chicken you will get a laughably small nearly bite size portion (see photos). That portion of chicken was slickly larger than the diameter of a sushi roll and very thin. Not only was the size tiny, but it was just bland chicken or steak with teriyaki drizzled over it. Hibachi chicken was the exact same with blank chicken and a different sauce over it.

Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants in San Antonio and it’s all you can eat! Some will complain about the $30 a person price but we found it to be a great deal the food is super fresh and delicious. Definitely not your typical buffet. Do not come here expecting Golden Corral or China Harbor. Highly recommend

Great prices for such an extensive selection. We went for lunch, which was $19.95, for all you can eat. They have plenty to offer than just sushi. I really enjoyed the soup, salad, fried rice and especially dessert. The wait staff was a bit slow but not the delivery of our food orders. If anything, we were waiting on our waitress to come back to provide napkins, silverware, and condiments because the food got back before she did. The dinner menu offers even more options, but I was very satisfied with just the lunch portion.

Frankly I didn’t know what to expect at this place with its extremely dark and raucous interior, but was pleasantly surprised overall with good service and pretty decent sushi!

We had a male waiter that was a bit rough but other than that it was okay. The soup and drinks took a while to come and we had to keep reminding him but he was nice about it and went and got it himself. Extremely worth the price.

Great value, decent to excellent sushi. I was skeptical with the “all you can eat” concept, but they proved me wrong! The biggest gripe is inconsistency. You may love one roll, and then reorder it and it comes out very different. Favorites were temptations d Texas roles.

Umiya is either all you can eat or by the plate. The all you can eat menu is available from 11AM-3:30PM Monday thru Saturday. You can order all you want but must finish all of it… the seafood is as expected, made fresh and fast. The food tastes good. We ordered the shaggy dog, yummy roll, Texas roll, Lexington roll, harbor ridge roll, dynamite roll, pot stickers, fried Oreos, California hand rolls on soy paper, crab rolls, spicy tuna tekka, and egg rolls. We would definitely be back for more. Well worth the price to stuff our faces.

The girl at the front didn’t even bother to look at me when talking to me. The food was so whatever, absolutely nothing special and many of the rolls taste the same. Sometimes they take VERY long to bring out your food, I waited 15 minutes for some rounds of food. Worst of all, they sat 2 of us on a very small table. I had to eat on top of my menu… we had plates all stacked up. It was a horrible experience. Photo is of my plates stacked because we have NO space to have a proper meal.

This place is definitely one of the best Sushi places I have eaten in San Antonio. Everything was amazing. Did not have one bad thing off the menu. 10/10 definitely recommend. Will definitely be back again soon ☺️
