I haven’t drove through Delano for a while and was surprised to see a new Sushi restaurant. I stopped to try it and I’m glad I did. I requested the all you can eat dinner menu which includes Sashimi. Each food item arrived promptly and perfectly prepared. But what really impressed the quality of the sashimi! Salmon, Red Tuna, White Tuna, it was very fresh and fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the Eel Sushi. But Wait! Omg the have fresh oysters?! Im going to risk it. Omg they were Awesome. Again, Fresh and High Quality and the preparation was perfect. I enjoy trying different sushi restaurants wherever i travel. I wasn’t sure what to expect here but they exceeded my hopes. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

I’ve had the sushi on a few occasions and it’s been good. The two things I absolutely love from Umiya are the spring rolls and the ramen.
The spring rolls come with this sweet sauce that has a bit of a zing to it. The rolls themselves are nice and crisp on the outside and with the sauce, it’s something that I ALWAYS order when I’m getting Umiya.
For the ramen, the Char Siu with the Tonkotsu broth is the way to go. I wish there was an option to add cabbage as I really like some rough greens to go along with the rich broth and pork belly. But other than that, this will be my go-to from now on.

Everything was delicious! The place looked great and service was wonderful! So excited to have a sushi place out here! The Highway12 and the Delano sushi rolls were my favorites!

My wife , kids, and I love coming here. We’ve eaten here a handful of times now and love. We’ve tried almost every roll on the dinner menu and always is fantastic. Atmosphere, food, and service are all top notch! Highly recommend. I see a lot of complaints about price, and honestly, anywhere you go nowadays is hard to eat for 75$ or less with a family of 4. So the 90$ it cost is worth it for a great atmosphere!

I came here with a friend yesterday and I have a lot to cover ! I absolutely LOVE sushi and sashmi. This place had amazing sashmi and sushi. The sashmi was perfectly cut, the sushi rice was fresh and cooked to perfection and the selection you have to choose from is large. Every dish was perfectly plated and absolutely amazing to look at. The first service I received was from a young woman, and she was trying to help me, but she couldn’t understand me fully. She told me English wasn’t her first language which was perfectly fine so she got someone else. The second set of service I received was from a young man and he was amazing. I got called beautiful twice, so my ego was through the roof!!! His service was great. Now you may be asking yourself “why 4 stars?” I ordered three pieces of tempera and 10 sashimi as my first food to be brought to me. The tempera was brought almost right away, but it was cold. I didn’t wanna complain because I hate sending food back so I ate it anyways, but it wasn’t great. So when I ordered another set of tempera, I had to tell them to make sure that it was warm as the first set was cold. When I received it, I could tell that it was an old order that was laying out re-dipped and pulled out of the hot oil. It almost makes me think that the tempera is not made fresh and comes prepackaged. If that’s the case, it might’ve just been stuck in the microwave but either way you could tell it was not fresh, but at least it was warm. I got the green tea ice cream and it was some of the worst green tea ice cream I’ve ever had. I don’t think it had any sugar in it at all which for some people is great, but for me, it was a no. I have had green tea ice cream many many places and I’ve never had one taste this bad. I had to shovel it down as you receive a charge if you have any wasted food. Which is another reason why they got four stars.I understand if people are wasting large amounts of food that they should be charged, but due to this being boldly put on the menu I took photos of any small amount of food that I sent back even if it was the tail of my shrimp tempura which is not edible. I also want you to keep in mind that they beautifully plated everything so I was afraid I would be charged for their decorations. When you’re afraid that you’re gonna be charged for things you didn’t ask for such as clear noodles that are decorations it kinda kills the mood. Luckily, I wasn’t charged so now if I went back there, I wouldn’t be afraid of that, but it was a concern based on the menu. Another issue I came across was all people at the table have to be either off the menu or all you can eat. I get that, but I think it’s kind of a stupid rule especially if you have a child with you knowing they won’t eat much. With that being said, I don’t think this is a place to bring your children unless they are huge eaters. They also charge children as adults if they are over a certain height. This brings me to my next and final point the cost. I absolutely think that this place knows they’re worth and I think they are worth it depending on your budget. The service was good, the sashimi and sushi was good again the tempera was not and the ice cream was not. I understand that this is a small business so I’m happy to pay the price but based on a full review, I wanted to mention that another place with the same business model and same distance from my house is $10 cheaper per person. The cost here for AYCE is $37. I will say if these places were next to each other and I was just gonna go out with my family I would go to the other place. If you want to take a family member out for an anniversary or a big life event than this place is the place to go because the plating, the setting and the service is very fancy. Again, if you are just there for the buffet aspect and especially if you have kids I would go elsewhere. I know they are new and still are going to grow over time. I look forward to coming here later down the line.

Sushi & other menu selections were excellent! A lot of choices on the menu other than sushi, also. Food was very well done & flavorful. The price was good. Disappointed in the atmosphere – kind of like a basic fast food place.

The General Tsos chicken with fried rice is an absolute bust. The chicken was over fried, tough and stringy. The fried rice was little more than white rice with pepper. At the menu price, you’re better off passing on by. Food also came out incorrect at first and 1 or 2 plates at a time with 3-5 minutes between. The restaurant does get some redemption points however because they saw my review and tried to make it better.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had. The all-you-can-eat is amazing. Big sushi rolls. Not those skimpy ones I’ve had at other places. Lots of variety on the menu. I will be back again!
