The sushi here are fresh, delicious and freshly made. It’s a sushi bar with tons of delectable selections! You’ll get to try assortments of sushi’s then they’ll weigh it in the counter to see the price. Love that you have this kind of a place where you can get sushi fast, I mean FAST within 2 mins.!, reasonable price, friendly staff, and in a great location! Great concept for a Sushi Restaurant!! Be careful with the Wasabi (in the packet) because it’s the real one, it bites!, just try a very small amount first. This is a small restaurant like those sushi places in Japan, you can dine here when it’s not busy, you can also have your sushi to go!

Umi sushi is a great place to stop by for a variety of sushi – you get to build your own tray and pay by weight at checkout. I honestly think the quality is also good for the price that you are paying. I got a 10% discount by showing my university card. Although I was lucky to be able to sit down and eat every time I went, there is limited seating (a row of bar chairs by the window).

THE sushi spot of the loop. While every other sushi place gives you small pieces for 8-12 dollars, you can get a full pound for roughly 20-25 bucks. The sushi pieces are huge and have amazing flavor. There’s a wide variety they make daily that you can choose from, and speciality sushi I havent found anywhere else. My fav spot to get a bite to eat when I’m craving seafood. If you are a college student they have a small discount for that.

This place has great variety and the quality is great. I’d say the quality of the sushi is on par with most neighborhood sushi restaurants. The ingredients are fresh, the sushi rice is well cooked and flavorful. Overall just decent sushi.
Price is very affordable too at $14.99/lbs. For reference, the two trays are about 0.7lbs each, so 1.4lbs together, and the total after tax is $24.22. That’s seriously good value as a premium sushi roll from the grocery store these days costs $12-15. So offering quality sushi at this price is seriously good value and I’m all for it

A great spot for lunch with a variety delicious special rolls and sushi. I love the concept of trying various options and pay by weight, perfect for those with commitment issues. For those who are indecisive and salmon lover, my favorite are
– seared salmon nigiri
– salmon inari (tofu pocket)

– salmon obsession
These are good quality pieces that i wish i got more. We went a busy lunch time so a lot was waiting to be refilled but still plenty of good options available. Don’t sleep on the sauce station as well, very thoughtful with the cucumber water! Will come back!
