For an empty restaurant the kitchen was beyond slow bringing our meals. Our table of 8 were served first 3 meals which they ate then had after drink then left before we even received our meals. Over an hour and 20 minutes to get dinner. Amazing food when it arrived but I wouldn’t return. The staff were friendly but management definitely needs to hire more kitchen staff.

We had great service this sushi establishment. The staff was excellent. Unfortunately , their hands were a bit tied with their selection of sushi and sashimi. The salmon they displayed in their case was pale, and of low quality, it was also old and could not be served. They did , however , have some very good he tuna available. The Miso soup was good. They had some good dry , clear sake as well. We made a meal out of it , and I would venture to say I will return at some point.

Slightly appalled by our service as the tipping culture in this town is getting out of hand. We received pretty good service, aside from our food taking ages to come. And when I handed over my card to pay our final bill, I was instantly asked “how much will you be tipping, you can choose 10, 12 or 15%” A tip is a gratuitous option, usually presented subtly. Not usually something to be demanded. The exchange was extremely pushy and demanding, and I felt like I had no other option. Even when I asked if I could enter it myself he was visibly disappointed and requested I choose one of the preset options. We’re regular diners at Bayview and receive excellent service every time and tip accordingly. Next time, I’ll sit at Bayview and ask for the Umi menu to avoid their attitude.

Mi experiencia no fue satisfactoria. Desde el inicio, el servicio fue deficiente: solicitamos agua y no nos trajeron vasos; luego pedimos sushi y tampoco nos ofrecieron salsa de soya.
Soy celíaca y, por precaución, llevé mi propia salsa de soya libre de gluten. Al pedir una recomendación, el mesero me sugirió un sushi que contenía krab. Después de consumirlo comencé a sentirme mal, por lo que consulté si el krab contenía gluten. Me aseguró que no, incluso lo sostuvo con seguridad, pero posteriormente quedó en evidencia que estaba equivocado, cuando yo ya lo había ingerido.
Considero que, tratándose de cuestiones de salud como la celiaquía, el personal debería estar debidamente informado. Por esta razón, no recomendaría el lugar a personas celíacas o, en todo caso, sugeriría extremar precauciones y no confiar únicamente en las recomendaciones del personal.

Servicio terrible, ordenamos una limonada y una copa de vino que nunca llego a la mesa, ordenamos 2 botellas de agua y solo sirvieron una vez, el lugar es muy bonito recomiendo el sushi.
