First time coming to the sushi restaurant with some friends. We ordered two rolls two appetizers and a sushi burrito. The portions were great which were bigger than average rolls. Great customer service and friendly staff.

the food was really good! i went with three other girls and we all got varieties of sushi, fried rice, or udon. all were good and we had no problems. waiters were really friendly especially the black haired lady and she made sure that we felt welcome and even gave us a free icecream <3 she was so sweet and made sure we had everything like spicy mayo, wasabi, ginger, refills, etc. overall the restaurant was a bit small so if it’s more than a few people it might be a bit difficult if you’re just walking in, but it was very nice an clean.

We came here after leaving from a bad experience at another restaurant. We didn’t mention it at all to our server. We were immediately greeted, sat and once we ordered the food came out 8 minutes later so super quick. We got two rolls to begin with and it was soooo much food compared to other sushi places serving sizes. Price was great for the amount of food and the sushi was one of the best we’ve tried in a very long time. We ended up ordering a third plate and came out so full. Our server was super attentive, and she was super sweet. We were in and out in about 45 minutes.

Top notch and Top Quality Sushi. The portion sizes are HUGE when you order a special roll. My go to is the Spicy Rainbow roll hands down the best! If sushi isn’t your thing they have really good tereaki and other options.

My bf and I absolutely loved the intimate ambience of this place.
We tried a few dishes, but the standout for me was the dancing shrimp roll. The peanut butter inside made it truly unique, adding a rich, nutty flavor that complemented the shrimp tempura. plus, the rolls were also huge!
P.S. If you have time after dinner, I highly recommend taking a walk to Rockwall Lighthouse..it’s just a short distance from the restaurant and makes for a lovely way to end the evening 🙂

Haven’t visited Umi Sushi before now, and wanted to give it a try. Small dining space. Sweet tea is VERY sweet, even 50/50. The House Salad is for two, possibly 3 if you have any chdren. Cold, fresh, and dressing is delicious. The appetizer of Shrimp Tempura was hot and good. Rolls of Haley Quinn, Lion King, and Big Mama. Needless to say, we did NOT need Big Mama. There’s no way 2 people can eat this and finish it. It’s easy for 4 people to eat on. Rolls are very meaty, moist, and fresh. To-go order of Combination fried rice to try tomorrow. We will return.
